Good morning! First day of Christmas break with the kids and I’m getting a late start! Stayed up too late last night addressing my Christmas cards so they could go in the mail today (they are ready to go!) and then I ended up sleeping in a bit. The kids wake up earlier than we do some days (like 6 a.m. – they are early risers!) and I give them a list of things to do before they can turn on the TV. This morning they cleaned their room and colored photos for Great Grandma – so we could put them in her Christmas card today. It’s a good way to start the day productively and then we can have a fun day!
On Saturday we made sugar cookies and decorated them! They weren’t pretty – but it didn’t matter anyway because the kids have already eaten them all (Mr. Queen Bee might have helped, too). Ha! The kids had a lot of fun and it definitely helps get us into the holiday spirit. We might make these Cream Cheese Spritz cookies today or tomorrow. We also took the kids swimming for nearly two hours at the gym. My daughter has had a cast on for the last MONTH so she couldn’t wait to go swimming!!
Yesterday we watched football and shoveled a LOT of snow. It just keeps falling around here and we’ve been busy keeping the driveway and the walks clear. I don’t mind it. It’s great exercise and it’s just beautiful outside. The kids love playing in the snow – so that’s also been great entertainment. Playing in the snow is so much more fun than playing in the rain. It’s supposed to warm up this week – so hopefully that means more playing outside.
I’ve also kept busy with LuLaRoe this weekend. My first round of clothing inventory came last Thursday and I just love it. I’ve done two live shows and one album sale (album sale still going) over in our Facebook group. I love connecting with folks over the live shows and I love the clothing – so it’s been really fun. After blogging 100% for the last 8 years I’m enjoying doing something a little different for “work” and look forward to whats to come. I’m expecting 7 boxes on Thursday and there should be TC leggings in there (TC leggings fit size 12/14 to 22/24).
