Good morning, friends! Today I’m writing Rise and Shine up near Mackinaw City, Michigan. We have a sweet “camping” spot right on the banks of Lake Michigan. The weather is a bit chilly but we aren’t complaining – supposed to warm back up to the 90’s next week. I had no idea Michigan had so many beautiful views – this place is gorgeous.
I can’t believe August is nearly over – Labor Day is JUST around the corner. I was reminded this as I try to book our stays in the next couple weeks. Does your family have any plans for Labor Day? I’d love to hear if you’re doing something fun or visiting someplace new!
The cooler weather has me craving this Slow Cooker Quinoa Chicken Chili! I don’t have my slow cooker with me in the trailer, but I do have a cast iron dutch oven that I think will work great for this over the campfire.
