Body Mechanics Orthopedic Massage is located in mid-town Manhattan. Body Mechanics is proud to announce their monthly on-going training for their massage therapists. At Body Mechanics Orthopedic massage, therapist are hired because they’re good therapists, but they are also selected for their specific expertise. With each therapist having their own specialization, Body Mechanics has created monthly on-going training workshops for therapists to share their knowledge with other therapist at Body Mechanics.
The monthly training workshops are taught by a therapist who is an expert in their specific modality. The therapist will teach and train all the other therapists in the clinic their line of expertise. Each workshop is 3 hours long which is split up between, 1.5 hours of lecture and 1.5 hours of hands on training. This type of structure allows therapists to receive peer reviews and also practice teaching which are crucial to the growth of therapist’s knowledge and career.
The therapists at Body Mechanics have already started to teach the 3 hour monthly workshops. Recently our therapists have received TMJ training to refresh knowledge also learn new techniques. Body Mechanics also took their therapists to the park for a semi-private group training session to learn more about Cross Fit and it’s fundamental movements. The Cross Fit class was central to our therapists’ knowledge because many of our clients are currently Cross Fitters.
In the future, Body Mechanics will continue their monthly on-going training to include specialties such as lymphatic drainage as well as training on prenatal massages and other specialties
