Chief Executive Officer of AshantiGold SC, Kudjoe Fianoo says his outfit is eager to pick three points against Tema Youth in the week three of the Ghana Premier League at the Tema Sports Stadium on Wednesday.
The Miners have accumulated three points from the opening two games in the ongoing premier league, but one conundrum facing the team going in the midweeks’ encounter against Tema Youth is how they can break the hoodoo that has faced them in recent times against Tema-based clubs in the GPL.
But the club’s capo has reiterated that they’re eager to pick maximum points from the premier league returnees on Wednesday.
“Every football game consists of three points and we’re going to play for that,” says Fianoo on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports.
“Nevertheless, we know it won’t be easy because over the years, Tema has proven to be a difficult ground for us but last season we managed to pick a point from Inter Allies there, but Tema Youth happens to be one of the main owners of that stadium, so I believe it’s going to be a bit difficult,” he added.
“Having said that, I don’t think we need to fear any club this season because we have one of the best squads in the league.”
