The annual Music Midtown Festival returns to Atlanta’s Piedmont Park this weekend  welcoming some of music’s biggest artists! Below are some quick pointers to help navigate through the weekend and to insure the most  memorable  Music Midtown experience ever!

FESTIVAL GATES:

There are four entrance gates  into the festival grounds:

The Charles Allen Gate located at the  corner of 10th Street and Charles Allen Drive

The Park Drive/Bridge  Gate is available to attendees coming from Monroe and Park Drives.

The 10th Street Gate located across from Grady High School

The 12th Street Gate located at 12th Street and Piedmont

BOX OFFICE:

There are two box offices  onsite – the Dockside Building located at the 12th Street Entrance which is open pre-show and show days and the main box office located on 10th Street and Charles Allen adjacent to Grady  High School.

Hours of Operation:

12th Street Box Office: Tuesday, September 14th – Friday, September 16th  – 10AM – 6PM

10th Street Box Office:  Friday, September 17th * Sunday, September 18th – 10AM – Close

Two-day general admissions tickets are $135.  VIP tickets are $600.00 and Super VIP tickets are $1,200.00. Fans can purchase tickets via www.musicmidtown.com

WILL CALL:

Will Call will be located at the ticket booth at the corner of 10th Street and Charles Allen Drive, across from the Charles Allen Gate.

VIP & SUPER VIP ENTRANCES:

Guests with Super VIP tickets will enter the festival grounds  through a specially designated  Super VIP entrance  located on 10th Street .

Guests with VIP tickets may enter  at all gates. Your wristband is NOT transferable to anyone during the festival.

The  VIP Club is conveniently located between all 4 stages. It will have all of your VIP food options, complimentary food trucks, bar service including complimentary beer and wine, exclusive VIP bathrooms, along with a great area for you to relax.

There will  be exclusive VIP viewing areas at the Electric Ballroom, Roxy and  Honda stages. These roped off areas will be standing room only . There are NO seats in the VIP viewing areas.

FESTIVAL LOCKERS

If you are looking to stash your stuff, we will be providing  lockers, but not just lockers, lockers with cell phone chargers inside of them.  This means that you can store your items and leave them overnight AND charge your cell phone whenever you need.  Need a sweatshirt for the evening hours but don’t want to lug it around all day? No problem.  Lockers will be located at both entrances of the festival and have universal cell phone chargers inside of them.  This means you can stay charged and store your items conveniently and quickly check-out at the end of the festival! You can reserve a locker now here: http://livemu.sc/2cDeUfi

RE-ENTRY:

Not to  worry, re-entry will be permitted but you MUST have your ticket “scanned out” when exiting. You must use the same ticket to gain re-entry to the festival grounds.

FESTIVAL CUISINE:

Music Midtown offers a wide array of food and beverages prepared onsite for your enjoyment including some of Atlanta’s great restaurants: Peros Pizza, On Tapa The World, Nectar, Sweet Auburn BBQ, Caribbean Grill, Siri Grill, Australian Bakery, R & G Concessions, Choice Taco, Choice Pizza, Loaded Burger, Sinbads, CJ’s Food Fantasy, Fry Guy, Jalapeno Corn Dog, Happy Belly, Williamson Bros, Bruster’s, Rita’s Italian Ice, SunQuench, Willy’s, Jim N Nicks, Island Noodles, Ultimate Culinary, Ibiza Bites, Mobile Marlay, Bomb Squad Pizza and Bhojanic. Beverage stations, street trucks and other festival food favorites will be throughout the site including vegetarian and gluten-free options. New menus and food trucks have been added in both SUPER VIP and VIP areas.

HANDICAP ACCESS:

Festival promoters have worked to provide an easy and enjoyable experience for every patron. Handicap parking is available in surrounding pay and private lots of the festival site. The far right lane at every gate will be ADA accessible. There will be areas at all four stages for any and all ADA issues. They are accessible to those with disabilities as well as a ticketed companion.  There will be seating and ADA accessible bathrooms for their exclusive use.  We also will be providing LED screens that will provide image enhancement for both stages.

ATM:

Need to grab some cash at the festival? No worries we will have ATMs throughout the festival site for patrons to access.

NEIGHBORS:

We love our festival neighbors.  We are moving in for the weekend and want them to feel the same about us.  PLEASE be respectful of them and their property at all times during the festival.

STREET CLOSURES:

There will be various street closures throughout the festival (patrons can use the Music Midtown Mobile App for festival news) – Here is a detailed road closure map: http://clients.brightfiregroup.com/download/MM2016/MM2016-Map-Road-Closures-2016-03-14.pdf  To draw more attention to these road closures, there will be electronic messages on 10th Street, 14th Street and Monroe Drive.

UBER:
New UBER users can receive $20 off their first ride by downloading the UBER app and signing in with promo code ‘MusicMidtown16’.

MARTA:

The event has traditionally been a carless event so let’s keep that going! Remember to take MARTA (The last train leaves the station at 1:00 a.m.). MARTA also has handicap parking and shuttle services. The nearest MARTA stations are Midtown and Arts Center.

PARKING:

Parking is very limited. We encourage all patrons to take MARTA, Uber, bicycle, walk, or carpool to Music Midtown. Bicycle valet sponsored by Clif Bar is available at Grady Circle.  Handicap parking is available in surrounding pay and private lots.

ENHANCED SECURITY:

Arrive Early – While we will do everything in our power  to be as quick as possible, we encourage guests to please arrive in advance of the scheduled door time, in order to allow ample time to enter the festival.

Inspection – Be prepared for inspection as you enter the festival. This inspection will include the use of metal detectors. Permitted bags no larger than 12″x6:x12″ will be searched and may slow down your entry time.

Travel Light – To provide a safer environment for festival goers and expedite entry into the festival , backpacks, Camelbaks and bags any larger than 12″x6″x12″ are not permitted.

Take Notice – Upon entry into the festival, make yourself familiar with the festival’s layout and take special notice of the nearest exit.

See Something Say Something – If you see something suspicious or out of place, please notify festival security immediately

Be Nice – Please respect those around you as well as yourself

ITEMS ALLOWED:

One factory-sealed bottle of water or one empty reusable water bottle that can be filled for free at any of our hydration stations located throughout the festival grounds. Purses and bags no larger than 12”x6”x12” (subject to search at gate) & blankets.

ITEMS NOT ALLOWED:

For the convenience and safety of all concert attendees, the following items are not permitted on the festival grounds during Music Midtown – chairs, musical instruments, laser pointers, walkie-talkies, coolers, grills, picnic baskets, outside food and drink, professional camera equipment and recording devices, roller skates/blades, bikes, scooters, skateboards, pets (except for service animals), weapons of any kind, fireworks or explosives of any kind, illegal or illicit substances of any kind (paraphernalia),  Cambelbaks, bags larger 12”x6”x12“ (permitted bags subject to search), glass containers, metal aerosol cans including sunscreen, carts, tents, unauthorized/ unlicensed vendors or unauthorized solicitations, handbills, sampling, giveaways etc.

Outside alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the festival due to the Fulton County and Atlanta City ordinances.  Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase onsite.

SMOKING:

Smoking onsite is NOT permitted as per Atlanta’s smoking ban in public parks in accordance with the Georgia Smokefree Air Act of 2005, here is the link to the ordinance put into action earlier this year. “Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 31-12A-7 and O.C.G.A.  § 31-12A-8 smoking is prohibiting on park grounds.”

PETS:

We love pets… But, we ask you to leave your pets at home. This is not only for the convenience of our patrons, but also for the well-being of your pets. MEDIA:

All media interested in covering the festival in an official capacity should have gone through the credential process. Depending on approved credentials and signed releases, media will be allowed entry into the festival and possibly access into the photo pit. Media Check-In is located at the front entrance to Park Tavern on Monroe Drive.  No media passes or tickets will be left at will call.
