Ken Edwards Stoneware – Born in Kansas City, Ken Edwards graduated from the K.C. Fine Arts Institute. He then studied in the Far East where he mastered the use of high-fired glazes and special clays. June in Jaltemba Bay - June marks the beginning of the dizzyingly hot weather with temperatures often rising above 90 degrees Fahrenheit (30°C) in the shade. In Bloom: Plumeria (Part 1 & 2) – Plumeria, also known as Frangipani and Flor de Mayo, is native to Mexico. In the Jaltemba Bay area, they bloom in the spring and their beautiful fragrant flowers range from white and yellow to pink. Word Stork (Mycteria Americana) Cigüeña Americana – In most of my previous texts on birds of Banderas Bay I tended toward introducing species, which are resident to the area, or even endemic – found nowhere else, but on Mexican Pacific Coast. Apparently a resident to the Mexican Pacific Coast, this species breeds in Mexico only locally. Read more

What is the Commercial Real Estate Business like in Puerto Vallarta? – Recently the real estate agents in Ampi Vallarta held their monthly meeting in Fluvial. One of the topics to discuss was the current real estate market. In general, the agents agreed that there is more sales activity for residential, particularly condos. Prices are not back to prior years from 2009 and earlier. Some areas, however; have experienced higher prices per meter from the lows of 2010-2011. Read more
