The world’s top automakers have lined up scores of new exotic cars that will literally set the 2015 Geneva International Motor Show on fire.

This is the first major European car show this year and it will hold from March 05 to March 15 at the Palexpo Arena, Geneva, Switzerland.

Over 25 supercars fresh from the production lines of some prominent automakers will be on display at the global event.

An online auto journal, Business Insider, on Tuesday listed 28 ‘hottest’ exotic cars that would make the show. “From Ferrari to Lamborghini and Porsche, the next generation of exotics will debut at the show; there will be a bevy of production ready models from mass-market luxury brands, such as Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Lexus, and BMW,” it stated.

Small sport utility vehicles and powerful sports cars for the rich would be another revelation at this year’s show, the US News and World Report, another online auto journal, noted on Tuesday.

From Hyundai, a new compact SUV that will revive the Tucson name, replacing the ix35, will be on display.

The vehicle expected to be released in 2016 is set to get a sleeker new look and the latest generation of engines.

“The Korean firm’s updated i30 range will be unveiled to the public for the first time, with a new 183bhp turbocharged variant also making its debut. There will also be a sporty new three-door Hyundai i20 Coupe,” the Business Insider stated.

Its Korean sister brand, Kia, is bringing the facelifted Picanto city car to the show. The updated Rio, Venga and Optima, as well as the new Sorento SUV will be on the Kia stand. And to complete the firm’s package for the show is the new Sportspace concept, a four-seater ‘shooting brake’ estate that is a preview for the load-lugging Optima.

Toyota is set to reveal its all-new Auris and Avensis models at the Geneva motor show. The leading automaker says both the Auris hatchback and Touring Sports wagon versions will be on display from March 5.

Both Auris and Avensis will continue to be built at the Toyota Manufacturing UK’s car plant at Burnaston.

Lexus, the luxury arm of Toyota, has also announced it will unveil a brand new concept at the show, the ‘LF SA’, which is a premium supermini.

The GLE and the GLE coupe are two new products from the Mercedes-Benz brand for the Geneva motor show, with the former replacing the current M-Class and the latter hoping to give the BMW X6 a fierce competition, with an SUV-coupe body-style.

Nobody will expect Mitsubishi not storm the show with its just unveiled dramatic XR PHEV II concept. This is expected to join the Outlander PHEV SUV in the firm’s lineup.

Nissan says it will showcase a new concept small car, the Sway, at Geneva. The Sway is said to have been designed primarily to influence the design language of the next-generation Micra supermini, expect in production form in 2016.

Peugeot will reveal a facelifted version of its 208 supermini range.

Reports indicate BMW will display the facelifted BMW 1 Series range. The firm will also show a seven-seat version of the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, called the Gran Tourer.

Honda’s show-stopping models, the NSX supercar and the Civic Type R hatch, are expected to make the show.

For Audi, its next-gen R8 supercar and the second-generation RS3 super-hatch will make their first public appearance at the motor fair.

Infinity, Nissan’s luxury sub-brand, will be showcasing its new QX30 small crossover.

Italy’s dramatic hypercar maker, Lamborghini, will unveil the SV. This is one of Lambo’s fastest ever road cars, with around 750bhp from its 6.5-litre V12 and a top speed heading towards 220mph.

Land Rover’s rugged and most style-driven model, the Evoque, is also expected at the one of world’s most glamorous auto shows.
