About 5000 members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) are expected to attend the Enterprise Funding Fair organised by Fountain Initiative for Social Development (FISD) to encourage entrepreneurship.

About 5000 members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) are expected to attend the Enterprise Funding Fair organised by Fountain Initiative for Social Development (FISD) to encourage entrepreneurship.

According to a press release issued by the FISD Deputy Executive Director, Yewande Oguntuyi, the fair is scheduled to hold on the 8th of October at the NYSC Orientation Camp, Iyana Ipaja Road, Agege, Lagos.

Oguntuyi said the Enterprise Funding Fair is targeted at corps members who are looking for financing, investment and partnerships for their business ideas after completing the NYSC Skills Acquisition & Entrepreneurial Development (SAED) programme.

"The goal of the "Enterprise Funding Fair” is to support the promotion of entrepreneurship amongst NYSC members in Nigeria through the creation of a credible platform that will contribute to securing much needed funding, investment and partnerships for enterprise ideas and innovation," the statement read.

"The Enterprise Funding Fair is an ideal opportunity for organisations to promote their products, meet and interact with numerous fresh talents and establish Corps members’ interest in their organisation."

Dignitaries expected at the event include the NYSC Director General, Brigadier-General Johnson Olawunmi, FISD Executive Director/CEO, Fola Kudehinbu, SAED Director, Mary Danabia, and the Group Managing Director, Courteville Business Solutions Plc, Otunba Bola Akindele.

FISD is an independent, not for profit, faith-based social enterprise established by by The Fountain of Life Church
