Three new Harry Potter e-books is coming out in September.

JK Rowling is delving back into the world of Harry Potter for a series of short ebooks with new stories about some of her characters from the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Guardian UK reported.

A statement reads: "The Pottermore Presents series will launch in September and is intended to supplement the Harry Potter book series with short-form content that is entertaining, creatively curated by the Pottermore staff and accessed easily on mobile platforms.

"We also recognise that not all Harry Potter fans who want to read more about the wizarding world visit pottermore.com so we’ve developed Pottermore Presents to reach those fans through other channels. The titles will be available on the Pottermore shop and via leading online retail outlets."

This is not a new Harry Potter book per say, the e-books is meant to reveal “J.K. Rowling’s intricate details of her characters’ lives, their histories, as well as her inspiration,” Pottermore chief executive Susan Jurevics said in a statement.

The first, Short Stories from Hogwarts of Power, Politics and Pesky Poltergeists, will apparently reveal the truth about Professor Umbridge and how Horace Slughorn met Voldemort.

The ebooks will be available on the Pottermore website as well as via digital booksellers.

They are the latest extension of the Harry Potter franchise, which includes seven books, eight films, three theme park attractions and the sold-out London stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

The ebooks, approximately 10,000 words long, are intended for tablets, mobile and other devices and as a supplement to the original Harry Potter books, which have sold more than 450m copies worldwide.
