This position is located on the staff of the Navy Region Southeast Regional Component Command, Fort Worth, Texas. This position covers the planning and delivery of customer services, including troubleshooting, customer assistance, and/or training in response to customer requirements.

DUTIES:

Serving as the regional focal point for IT related trouble calls and service requests.

Establishing customer service standards, providing direction and monitoring levels of customer service provided.

Creating and maintaining web pages, updating site content and graphics.

Maintaining standard operating procedures and providing guidance on responding to requests for support and ensuring that quality customer service is being provided.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Providing information and guidance to include training and assistance with posting and updating site content.

Respond to a variety of trouble calls providing technical computer support, such as account issues, troubleshooting internet issues, and site navigation.

Diagnosing and isolating causes of problems between hardware, system software, and application programs.

Serve as primary contact to answer technical information requests.

REQUIREMENTS:

Selectee is required to participate in the Department of Defense direct deposit of pay program.

May be required to receive calls after duty hours, holidays, weekends, and may perform uncommon tours of duty including shift work to cover weekends or holidays.

This position requires the incumbent to hold and maintain an Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I Certification under DOD Directive 8570.1-M (IA Workforce Improvement Program) and related implementing policies.  Employees newly hired or assigned to this position have six (6) months to meet certification requirements.  Incumbents assigned to IA positions must ensure that their certificates stay active.  Expired certificates must be renewed.
