Hi guy's and girl's, I thought I should make a post to introduce myself.
I'm an Aussie that grew up in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, and from the time I was born I was around bikes, thanks to my Dad. I played around on dirt bikes when young, and then street bikes once I could get a licence. I worked as a bike mechanic for about 8 years, and then moved to Canada in '98 after a winter of playing in the Rockies. There's not much work where I am for bike mechanics, so I switched to the Heavy Duty mechanical trade.
I still love all the mountain sports and activities, but have never totally stepped away from bikes. I currently own a modified 1982 Suzuki Katana, and a 1998 GSXR 600 that has become a home built turbo project....which is how I stumbled across this site!
There's a lot of great info posted here, and hopefully I can contribute to it from time to time :2thumbs:
