Home decor retailer Kirkland’s, in partnership with Wells Fargo, offers a credit card that allows you to earn reward points to be used toward future Kirkland’s purchases. Our overview / review of the card is below:

The Kirkland’s credit card can only be used at Kirkland’s stores and Kirkland’s online. Do you make purchases at Kirkland’s often enough for it to be worth it to open another credit line? Or would you be better off sticking with a card you already carry? The limited ability to use the Kirkland’s card is definitely something to consider.

If you are a frequent Kirkland’s shopper and think the card could be for you, it does offer some nice perks, including:

A rewards program that gives you 2 points for every dollar charged to the card — When you reach 300 points you’ll get a $10 gift certificate sent to you to be used on future Kirkland’s purchases.

A 15%-off coupon just for applying for the card. You’ll get it even if you’re not approved for the card, which is rare.

10% off Kirkland’s purchases on the last Tuesday of the month.

A special birthday offer and other discount possibilities throughout the year.

Now, if that sounds good to you, great. But there is one big red flag we must wave before you apply for this card. The interest rate is 27.99%!!! That is a crazy high interest rate — if you EVER carry a balance on your credit cards, avoid this one. Any rewards or discounts you receive will be essentially canceled out by the interest you pay.

That said, if you want to apply for a Kirkland’s credit card, there is an online application here.
