SKELETONWITCH have kept the anticipation building over the past few months as they have prepared for the release of their forthcoming EP featuring vocalist Adam Clemans (Wolvhammer). Making his debut appearance on the cover of Decibel Magazine alongside Abbath, High on Fire’s Matt Pike and Tribulation’s Johannes Andersson – all of whom were featured on this years annual Decibel Magazine Tour –  the band have returned to the lauded metal magazine to unveil an advance stream of “The Apothic Gloom”, out this Friday (August 19). Lauded as “their most ambitious offering to date”, you can listen for yourself to the exclusive stream on DecibelMagazine.com here: http://decibelmagazine.

“The Apothic Gloom” features the longest tracks the band has ever recorded, including the stunning seven minute album-closer “Red Death, White Light.” This EP documents a band that has not yet peaked in creativity or vitality and it fiercely bridges the gap into the band’s new era.

2. Well of Despair (3:54)

SKELETONWITCH have been exciting fans with their ferocious, high-energy live show across North America and Europe for over a decade. During that time, they have toured with such legends as Ozzy Osbourne (Ozzfest) and Danzig and many of the biggest acts in heavy music, including Ghost, Amon Amarth, Cannibal Corpse, Abbath, and High on Fire.

SKELETONWITCH’s upcoming Noisey-presented “Curse of the Dead” tour, a full U.S. tour, includes support from some of THE WITCH’s collective favorite bands in the international metal underground. “Curse of the Dead” will feature Iron Reagan (members of Municipal Waste and Darkest Hour), Belgium’s Oathbreaker, the Sonoran Desert’s Gatecreeper (9/29-10/18) and Cleveland’s Homewrecker (10/19 – 30). In addition to looking forward to all of their sets each night, SKELETONWITCH is very pleased to help expose these excellent bands to wider audiences.

SKELETONWITCH are currently trekking across Canada on their “No Sleep ‘Til Vancouver” tour which included a stop at the Heavy Montreal (Mastodon, Carcass) where the band delivered a triumphantly savage set to a sea of appreciative headbangers. Following shows in British Columbia, the band will play select U.S. shows ending with the tour’s finale at Columbus, Ohio’s Ace of Cups. After a month off, which will allow for the nuptials of drummer Dustin Boltjes, SKELETONWITCH will begin the Noisey-presented “Curse of the Dead” tour.
