Zoosk is an online dating service available in 25 languages and in more than 80 countries. They have about 27 million members, of which 650,000 are paying subscribers and its membership grows about 44% year-over-year.
Zoosk, as well as a desktop site, has an iOS and Android app. It uses big date and algorithmic recommendations technology to help users find partners. Its “proprietary Behavioral Matchmaking engine” learns from users’ clicks, messaging and other actions to help produce more accurate matches. In 2014, it added a Photo Verification service, designed to prevent users from posting out of date photos, regardless of a free or paid subscription.
Zoosk is for users 18 years and older. It uses gamification and popularity rankings to encourage participation.
