Here is a post dedicated to my favourite lolitas in the Lolita Fashion community. ^_^
They are lolitas who have inspired or influenced me throughout my lolita life, and/or lolitas who have become good friends of mine!

(Alphabetical order)

AMO: Amo is currently a very popular model in Japan- and while she’s currently moved on to other fashions as of late, she used to model for Angelic Pretty on a fairly regular basis. She’s famous for her perfect childlike face and pouty dolly expressions. She is also significantly tall for a japanese girl, at 5”6. I admire Amo a lot because she’s the same height as me (well, she’s actually a bit taller!) and reminds me that anyone can be adorable and look great in lolita no matter what your height is.

CADNEY: A widely popular and inspirational lolita online to many, Cadney is one of the most creative and outstanding lolitas I’ve come across in the lolita fashion community. Cadney is wonderfully clever at making herself look like a prized cupcake, using very creative methods to decorate her hair/wigs, accent her clothing and dazzle up her accessories. Not only does she make for some seriously gorgeous photos, but she’s also a total sweetheart on the inside, too! Cadney’s kind-hearted spirit and warm outlook on life is part of why I deeply admire her.

CAPTAIN INSANEWAY: A truly adorable sweet lolita who I made friends with this summer at my first lolita fashion meetup! I took a shine to her straight away, and since the meetup we usually contact each other online each day for a little message or chat. I love how she looks like a total sweetie pie but has a lot of fire behind her, and is extremely honest! (My favourite kind of person :D). She has such a great face and smile for sweet lolita and she looks like such a little doll!

MISS CARO CHAN: Miss Caro-chan runs my favourite lolita fashion blog, F Yeah Lolita! Her advice is always so valuable for newbie lolitas but also equally helpful and inspiring for veterans, too! She’s clearly a very intelligent lolita and has had lots of experience in the community. I look up to her for running such a great blog, and I hope she will always continue to update it; it’s always such a good read!

CHI: My little Chiiiiiii! QuQ I’ve known her for less than a year but we’re already so close, and we meet up on a regular basis! I have so much fun with Chi, we always laugh and talk about silly things together. We also love to take lolita photos together and she thinks we both make good directors at photography. Chi is my cute little pixie, who’s’ very bubbly and very chatty, often a bundle of surprises, and she brightens my days! Thank you Chi for being my friend!

DAMARE KOZOU: Possibly the biggest lolita inspiration to me of all time, I closely followed Damare Kozou’s blog when I was beginning to improve as a newbie lolita. I was fascinated with her use of pastel tones, plastic toy accessories and super cute vision. Her style of accessorising would eventually be known as “Fairy Kei”, but back then she was ahead of her time! Damare Kozou is the reason I love adding things like Polly Pockets, other toys and plastic jewellery into my lolita outfits. Like myself, she is a big lover of retro kitsch, so I also love her for that reason too!

FRILLY CAPRICIOUS: This uber-kawaii little cutie has become popular among the lolita fashion community for being one of the tiniest people in the world to wear lolita! Her mother alters Angelic Pretty dresses for her so that they can wear lolita together and be super cute dollies with matching outfits! Definitely one of the cutest lolita blogs you’ll ever come across.

FRILLY PINK DREAMS: I absolutely wonderful tumblr blogger who has inspired me constantly with her many beautiful reblogs; and now we’re e-friends!! Frilly is a super imaginative lolita and has some of the most inspirational sweet lolita outfits I’ve seen; she really comes out of her shell when it comes to creating an outfit and she expresses her creativity so well with it. Frilly and I have planned to meet up with each other next year when she visits the UK- I’m so excited to meet her and give her a biiiig hug! ^0^

HUFFIE PUFFIE: A simply adooooorable little doll who has such a unique and charming style of lolita fashion! Huffie Puffie often mixes sweet and classic lolita together to make some truly delightful outfits, and there’s just something so heart-meltingly childlike about her smile that it just makes the whole look extra adorable. She carries a very magical presence about her. Huffie Puffie always charms me whenever she posts online, and I really look up to her originality.

JEWELS: I feel soooo honoured to have made friends with Jewels earlier this year! When I first met her in person, I thought she was like a little angel. *_* She’s really so genuinely sweet, kind and charming I’m surprised nobody would blush in her presence. Jewels and I have almost identical tastes in hobbies, so I was really happy to discover I could have someone who would relate to my crazy obsession with toys, retro things, my little ponies and disney. Jewels, I look forward to getting to know you more and spending more fun cutesy days together. ^_^

KAMMIE: Kammie has been quiet in the lolita fashion community for a while now, but I still look up to her as a big inspiration when it comes to Sweet Lolita. She was an accessorising goddess, at one point even making Sanrio-themed outfits based around characters like Spottie Dottie and My Melody. At one point she even put whole My Little Ponys in her hair, and made it work!!

KAWAII GOODS: I first became friends with Mochi on livejournal after she asked me if I could model some of her handmade jewellery and accessories. Mochi runs a popular pastel-kei shop known as Kawaii Goods, which sells all kinds of amazing harajuku-inspired accessories, jewellery and clothing which suit the Sweet Lolita, Fairy Kei and Pastel Goth subcultures. Mochi is a real sweetie and always works so hard to continue her creative projects even when things get tough. Kawaii Goods is one of my favourite places in the world to buy accessories and I have worn her items hundreds of times!

LEMON TREE: Lemon Tree is a very talented artist who often draws lolitas in her works. She has a lovely flowing style I really admire! We’re now e-friends, which is quite surreal for me! As a lolita herself, she’s truly gorgeous and fits every outfit she designs perfectly; she’s incredibly cute at just about everything she does! It was great to get to know her more. You can check out Lemon Tree’s awesome lolita artwork at LemonTree11.

LITTLE MORI GIRL: Little Mori Girl is an enchanting classic lolita who also dabbles in mori girl fashion and sweet lolita. I look up to her a lot, because we have similar health conditions and yet she never lets her condition hinder her from enjoying wearing the clothes she loves- even when she has to frequently use a wheelchair to get around. She’s a big inspiration to the disabled lolita community and I simply love her courage and optimism. I love how her photoshoots look so effortless, and she’s such a beautiful girl.

LOVELY LOR: Is amazing!! Now here’s a wild mare of a lolita if I ever saw one; Lor lives for fun, laughter, excitement and adventure. She blogs about her escapades daily, showing other lolitas just how much fun and crazy antics you can get up to while wearing even your frilliest of dresses! Lovely Lor is also the creator of the popular online series “Sh*t Lolitas Say”, which always make me laugh out loud and leave me grinning for ages afterwards. You can see them on her channel at gitsforfits. Lor has such an incredible and life-embracing personality, she is so full of positive energy and I simply adore how she spreads that around so everybody else can join in!

LOVING LOLISA: Another absolutely wonderful lolita gal I first met on the online Scottish Lolitas community. Lolisa has such a perfect vision of sweet lolita, and her outfits always blow me away with their utter cuteness and just how well they suit her as a whole. I was so happy to eventually meet her in person at a meetup, and she was just so funny and adorable, I fell in love with her sense of humour immediately. Making sushi with sticky mayonnaise on a blistering hot day was not what I expected as out first encounter, but it sure was a fun one!

LUNIE CHAN: I knew Lunie-chan as a pixel doll artist way back in the day, and I was so happy to discover she had gotten into lolita fashion! Lunie Chan makes herself as beautiful, detailed and awe-striking as the dolls she used to draw. Her outfits are so full of expression that they look like real works of art. She looks like some kind of sugar-sprinkled angel in her lolita photos. I love Lunie chan as both an artist and a sweet lolita. :) You can see her pixel dolls here!

MAKI & ASUKA: The lead designers of Angelic Pretty! Maki and Asuka have evolved the world of Sweet Lolita fashion and made it one of the most popular kawaii cultures in japan, now slowly spreading across the world! Maki and Asuka have created some of the most desirable prints in the lolita community, some of which now sell for just under $1000. Angelic Pretty is now the no. 1 most popular lolita fashion store in the world, alongside BtSSB, and have become leading designers in kawaii fashion, expanding into other territories such as Fairy Kei. Their super cute and sugary vision on fashion has been a huge inspiration to me, as well as the majority of the lolita community!

MISAKO AOKI: Yes, she’s a very popular lolita role model for many lolitas! Why? Because she was once japan’s official Kawaii Ambassador, and is the most famous and recognisable lolita fashion model in the world. I adore Misako Aoki for helping to spread the joy of cuteness and the magic of lolita fashion internationally; she travels all around the world to host various lolita events on a regular basis; no doubt she is one busy frilly! I also love Misako because she encourages people of all ages to wear lolita fashion, and she admits she’d still like to wear lolita-like clothes even when she becomes a granny!

OH VELVETEENA: I first met Oh Velveteen on the online Scottish Lolita community, and I took a real liking to her right away. She makes such an impressive gothic lolita (and occasionally even guro lolita!), it’s refreshing to have an e-friend who normally dresses the opposite tone to myself. She shares the same health condition as myself and so we can often talk about our issues with each other and sympathise, which is really lovely. She also fiercely stand up for political matters that are personally important to me, so I admire her so much in that department as well. She’s a fantastic frilly fighter.

PINKU PROJECT: Peach Pinku, Berry Pinku, Baby Pinku and Cotton Pinku make up the painfully adorable idol group Pinku Project. They often dance and perform in sweet lolita and lolita-inspired outfits, most of which are designed by Peach Pinku, the leader of the group! You can check out her clothing line at Pinkly Ever After. I love every single Pinku very much and they always brighten my days with their happy, perky attitudes and photo posts of their cute outfits.

PRINCESS PORCELAIN: Princess Porcelain is a beautiful classic lolita who I first met online a very long time ago! I just happened to move to the same city as her last year, and now we live relatively close to each other and meet up frequently. Princess Porcelain is not only incredibly professional with her outfits and expressing her creativity, but she also has an extremely generous heart and loves to give gifts and share all things lovely with her friends and acquaintances. I feel very lucky to have gotten to know her. :) You can check out her darling youtube channel at PorcelainHime.

SAE: One of the first lolita blogs I stumbled upon when starting out as a lolita, I fell in love with Sae’s adorrrrable face and just how great she looked in sweet lolita. She is an exceptionally tiny lolita, possibly around 4”6, and I love how Angelic Pretty dresses go past her knees. The fact that she has such a baby-face and small size could have people believe she was a living doll! I personally love how Sae wears head-to-toe the entire series of whatever theme she’s wearing, such as Sugary Carnival or Toy Parade all over. If she loves to have a collection like that, I think that’s really cool.

SHELBY CLOUD: Shelby is a very beloved lolita to the western lolita community. She’s an incredibly clever and sweet young woman who creates helpful videos for new and veteran lolitas alike (see her channel ShelbyCloud), and creates super adorable and unique lolita outfits with the help of her gigantic lolita wardrobe and accessory collection! She also makes and sells some of her own items at her store Cute Candy Clouds. One thing’s for sure, Shelby is a lolita with a (frilly) heart of gold.

PRINCESS SKYE: Just a ghost in the lolita fashion community now, Princess Skye was once the fairytale princess for western lolitas. She ran a widely popular blog called The Princess Portal, which is now, tragically, gone. Princess Skye knew how to live life like a true Anne of Green Gables, living in her own fantasy world as if she was a real disney princess. She wrote an article every day teaching people how to live a lifestyle like hers, from tea and crockery recommendations, to bath and beauty routines, to flower arranging and baking recipes, to manners and ladylike etiquette… If you wanted to be like a real-life princess, Skye’s world was the place to go.

STEFFNE: One of my bestest of bestie friends in the world!! ;u;
