Hyderabad: Reacting to Nalognda MLA and former minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy’s criticism on TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy a couple of days ago, AICC general secretary in-charge of Telangana Congress Affairs Digvijay Singh has said he doesn’t think Komatireddy will join the ruling TRS party.

Speaking to the media after landing in the city on Sunday, Digvijay Singh said the differences in the TPCC will disappear soon. Alleging that the BJP at the Centre and TRS in the State were not working as expected by the people, Digvijay said and added that both parties have miserably failed to fulfill the assurances made by them on the eve of the elections.

Exuding confidence that the Congress would win in Goa, Manipur and Punjab, Digvijay said the Congress-Samajwadi Party alliance would emerge victorious in Uttar Pradesh too. Terming the violent incidents in Tamil Nadu Assembly on Saturday as unfortunate, Digvijay said the election of new Chief Minister in Tamil Nadu was happy news.

Komati raps Uttam again

Meanwhile, expressing displeasure once again at Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy told the media in Nalgonda on Sunday that the Congress party doesn’t need surveys and it wants the leaders to take the anti-incumbency to the people. He said he reacted seriously because Uttam told in his survey that the Congress party would lose election at Nakrekal. He made it clear that the Congress party will win at Nakrekal as a first seat in Telangana in 2019 elections. Ridiculing the allegations against him by his party leaders, Komatireddy said nobody was there behind him and opined that the leaders, who want to take disciplinary action against him have no experience.

Boora slams Komati

In a related development, TRS MP Boora Narsaiah Goud said Komatireddy Venkat Reddy’s allegations against the State government were utterly false and mischievous.

Speaking to the media at TRS Bhavan on Sunday, Boora said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was extending full support to the caste occupations and introduced several schemes for the benefit of all BCs. Condemning Komatireddy’s charge that KCR was doing nothing to caste occupations, Boora demanded that Komatireddy tender apologies to the BCs.

The State government has distributed 40 crore fish seed for the fishermen’s community, he said and exuded confidence that rearing fish seed will result in Rs 4000 crore benefits to that community. He said the TRS government decided to give lakhs of sheep and goats as there were around four lakh shepherds in Telangana State. “Komatireddy is not in a position to digest these facts and hence resorting to baseless allegations against the State government”, he said. –NSS
