Hi, my dear, cool and absolutely amazing Prima gods and goddesses! My name is Charlemagne G. Gargalicano (A.K.A Shimmerlyscrappy) and I'm here to spread shimmer in the Land of Prima. I live in Bacolod, Philippines, the city of smiles and the capitol of Negros. I've been living my whole life single (you know stuff, LOL). Together with me is my loving Mom and my adorably annoying sister, Angel (I love her so much.) I'm 19 years old and art is my passion. Yes, I love to draw, but my skills extended when I discovered scrapbooking. Most of my works are inspired by enchanted realms, child's play, and color. I love to do things out of the box, weird or Anti-Scrapbook.(that's just what I call it). People often ask me why my works always have shimmer (why not??) Glitter hides mistakes; it's fun and quirky! Calligraphy is also one of my sub genres of art. It gives meaning and beauty to my works. Lastly, I'm a college student, currently studying Digital Media Arts. "The Masskara Festival is a festival held each year in Bacolod, Philippines. It is held every third weekend of October, or on the closest weekend to October 19.The festival features a street dance competition where people from all walks of life troop to the streets to see colorfully masked dancers perform to the rhythm of Latin musical beats in a display of mastery, gaiety, coordination, and stamina. Major activities include the MassKara Queen beauty pageant, carnivals, drum and bugle corps competitions, food festivals, sports events, musical concerts, agriculture-trade fairs, garden shows, and other special events organized ad-hoc every year." Title : THE BOOK OF PEARL
This book belongs to everybody who feels for themselves. Insecurities are a pain, but really, you're a pearl and let's celebrate that. No matter what, God made you and you're special. When I first saw the mood board, I was like "****!! It's purple." I was so challenged because purple isn't my thing, but hey, I ended up nailing it. This project is inspired by spiderwick and the Plucker. This is the outside part of the book, filled with Prima flowers and art mediums (By the way, shout out for Lisa Gregory Nazario for giving me extra goodies to play with. Thank you, Lis.)
When you open the book you will find a mirror, and there you will see the reflection of pearl.The idea of this is similar when you look at yourself in the mirror. People often look outside their reflection and not through it. (That is basically my message for this project.)
"Details of Pearl" -here I added a cheap key chain doll which I altered, repainted it, change her hairstyle, and added pearls and flowers. (The Ruffles you see in her neck are Prima ruffled flowers)

Title: Genuine Moments
This is just a simple mixed-media layout sharing good memories with my friends. Here, in this photo, you will see Heyley, myself, Princess, and Isaac wearing 70's clothes for our school's induction party. I actually bent the sketch, for the reason that my photo is quite large to be added at the side of the page...I really like how it goes from texture to color!
For texture I added a twine wreath. ( I actually wanted to make a wreath, but I used it differently. I used the other half in "The BOOK of PEARL" above.) I painted it with gesso and modeling paste. I also added texture over the layout using old Alpha stickers and, on top of it, I added gel paste and Prima stones.
I layered so much paper from this project because I wanted that tattered look and feel to the page. The French Riviera colletion is legit and a perfect match for the fall look.

Title: BLOOM
This is my first ever CAT project for Prima, so I decided to make a small tag. I used several papers from different collections: French Riviera, Archivist, and a little throwback with Lyric. I tried to make the tag soft, giving it an enchanted look, and whimsical feeling.
I put a little Prima vine inside of this scrap bottle cap, that I found at the streets and made it into a bell jar, similar with the flower in "beauty and the beast". I layered again more die-cuts a papers for a tattered feel. Lastly, I added some pearls and twines from Prima to create that fairy look and feeling.
I would like to say thank you for Prima Marketing for giving me a chance to be in the guest designer team. This experience happens once in a life time and I thank God for this opportunity, for the people who help me make it this far (Lisa, thank you for your love and generosity.
