Ernst & Young announces Snack Factory Founders, Sara and Warren Wilson are the Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2012 Award winner in New Jersey

Award recognizes entrepreneurial excellence in the Master category

Princeton, New Jersey, June 29, 2012 – Ernst & Young LLP have just announced that Sara and Warren Wilson, Founders of Snack Factory, LLC and creators of the world’s first spreadable pretzel cracker, Pretzel Crisps®, received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2012 Award in the Master category in New Jersey. The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Sara and Warren Wilson were selected by an independent panel of judges, and the award was presented at a special gala on June 27, 2012 at the Hyatt New Brunswick.

“We are honored to be named among Ernst & Young’s prestigious list of successful New Jersey entrepreneurs,” said Warren Wilson.  “For more than 30 years, Sara and I have worked day and night to create products we can be proud of.  Today, all of our hard work has paid off!”

Since their humble beginning selling funnel cakes, Sara and Warren Wilson’s mission was to create high-quality, great-tasting, wholesome snacks the entire family can enjoy.  Today, the Wilsons continue this tradition by making, distributing and selling the world’s first spreadable, flat-baked pretzel cracker.  Snack Factory’s Pretzel Crisps®, a modern twist on an old favorite, have become a nationwide fan favorite among consumers seeking a better-for-you snack option.

Now in its 26th year, the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Program has honored the inspirational leadership of such entrepreneurs as Jeff Bezos of Amazon.com, Michael Dell of Dell Inc., Herb Kelleher of Southwest Airlines, Fred Smith of FedEx, Larry Page and Sergey Brin of Google, Richard Schulze of Best Buy, Andrew Mason of Groupon, Mindy Grossman of HSN, Inc., Reid Hoffman and Jeff Weiner of LinkedIn, and many more.

As New Jersey award winners, the Wilsons are now eligible for consideration for the National Entrepreneur Of The Year 2012 Award. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the National Entrepreneur Of The Year Overall Award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California, on November 17, 2012. The awards are the culminating event of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum®, the nation’s most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.
