#phifcombobraid

Try out this cute braid combo, an oldie (a four strand braid) and a new braid- a wrap around twist braid. Both are simple braids, but put them together for a fun cute hairstyle!

For this hairstyle you will need:

10 minutes

4 hair elastics

Topsy tail or bobby pin to secure the wrapped ponytail

Difficulty level: Medium

I also had Aislyn’s hair fairly wet when I did the end wrapped twist braid.

Hairstyle Instructions below:

~1. Part hair on side, and down behind ear. Part off large section of side part in half, on a horizontal part.

~2. Braid each of these sections into a four strand flat braid. (For tutorial on this braid, click here.)

~3. Braid to the ends. Smooth the rest of the hair into side ponytail.

~4. Wrap the two four strand braids around each other loosely, and bring over into side ponytail and secure.

~5. To do a wrapped ponytail, bring a small section (wet hair preferably) from back of pony and wrap it around elastic. When you have a tail of 4 inches or so, take a topsy tail and stick it down from top of elastic and through the ponytail. Pull the tail through T.T. loop and pull through into ponytail.

~6. Undo elastic ends of two braids in ponytail and comb smooth. Begin the wrapped twist braid by pulling two sections from behind pony, on either side. Bring them forward and begin a twist braid. Wrap both sections to left, and cross them on right side of the rest of the ponytail.

~7. After crossing them on the right of hair, wrap them around the hair, and cross them on left side of pony. Continue until you need to add more hair, continually twisting pieces to the left before crossing.

~8. To add more hair to sections, pull to the right side of pony, pick up pieces and add to each of two sections. Wrap left, and continue crossing until end of hair.

~9. Fasten with elastic, spray with hairspray, and you are done!

We hope you love this style and will try it out and share your pics of it! #phifcombobraid
