After its significant debut last year, Vogue Fashion Fund returns this year to give centre stage to India’s next generation of fashion designers in collaboration with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI). Entries are open till 30th April 2013.

On the success of Vogue Fashion Fund, Ms. Priya Tanna, Editor, Vogue India said, “India’s first-ever Vogue Fashion Fund in 2012 brought to the forefront the boundless passion and spectacular talent of the country’s emerging designers. Vogue’s commitment to providing a unique platform for Indian designers is back for the second year, to steer fashion careers to greater heights.”

The panel of judges comprises the same veteran fashion authorities of last year including FDCI’s Sunil Sethi, renowned fashion designers Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Suneet Varma as well as retail experts Alka Nishar and Tina Tahiliani. The jury also features Vogue India expert team- Priya Tanna-Editor, Anaita Shroff Adajania-Fashion Director, Bandana Tewari -Fashion Features Director and Oona Dhabhar-Marketing Director of Condé Nast India.

Vogue India invites entries from emerging fashion designers based on pre-defined eligibility criteria. The judging panel will shortlist 20 designers at first from the entries, further narrowing this list down to top 5 finalists based on interviews and the creation of a special capsule collection. One final winner will be chosen and announced at a celebratory event in October.

The eligibility criteria are below:
•    One should have a degree or diploma in fashion/design from a recognised institute
•    Collection has to have retailed in India for a minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 10 years
•    Participation in a solo / joint / group fashion show in at least one fashion week is a must
•    Should have received editorial or press coverage
•    Should have a production facility or should employ a team of professional staff

The winner of Vogue Fashion Fund will get the opportunity to feature in a fashion shoot in Vogue India along with a year-long business/creative/marketing mentorship with an industry professional, a grand cash prize, access to prominent platforms in the industry besides mentorship from Vogue, PR support and media coverage.

Delhi based designer Aneeth Arora, founder of Péro, won the first edition of Vogue Fashion Fund last year.
