The Canadian International School (CIS) Bangalore today initiated annual walk-a-thon as a fund-raising event at its campus situated in Yelahanka. The walk-a-thon provided a platform for the entire student body to walk collectively as one and to support worthy causes. The funds raised by the students will be contributed towards the NGO "Habitat for Humanity" which addresses the issue of poverty housing.
Walkathon is a platform to bring together the entire students of CIS to walk for a worthwhile cause we believe in. This is also an opportunity to build strong bond between the younger students and the older students of our school - Priya Anand- Community Service Coordinator.
Organizing an event such as this took a lot of hard work and dedication on the part of the volunteers. At the end, the Walkathon was a huge success and it's great to know that the funds raised will go for a great cause, - Ashvin Mahenthiran, Grade 11
