Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Limited (MHRIL), India’s largest vacation ownership company has invested a substantial Rs. 500 crores to grow its resort network to 44 properties at present. With this expansion, Club Mahindra has added over 1000 rooms during the past two years taking its total room count to 2480, giving members greater access to existing new destinations across the country and globally.The company has used an innovative and flexible approach to growing its network including the buying & leasing of existing properties, and also starting entirely new projects in different parts of the country. MHRIL also has a significant land bank in 10 distinct locations across India which is capable of helping the company add another 800+ rooms to its network.

Club Mahindra has successfully leveraged its association with the trusted Mahindra brand which is known for being innovative, technology savvy, customer centric and accepting no limits. With this association Club Mahindra has earned the trust of its member base and created a favourable impression about time-share holidays in the Indian market.

MHRIL has performed strongly during the year ended March 2013, with Total operating income of Rs. 702 crores as against Rs. 622 crores in the previous year. The Profit after Tax was Rs. 107 crores for F-2013 compared to Rs. 105 crores last year.

Key success factors for the company include a focus on enhancing the overall customer experience across all member touch points, including at the time of signing up, holiday planning, holiday booking and ongoing engagement. The company’s completely revamped website which is designed to be interactive and intuitive has played an important role in enhancing customer satisfaction. In fact, almost half of all customers now book their holidays online using this site.

The company has also expanded its international footprint to Dubai and Bangkok which is a first for an Indian vacation ownership company. Domestic additions have been in tourist hotspots like Jaisalmer & Udaipur in Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Kerala at Cherai Beach (near Kochi), in the backwaters of Poovar (near Trivandrum).  A second resort in the ever popular Coorg is ready at Virajpet.
