Canon, a world leader in Digital Imaging space, has launched four new cameras in its renowned PowerShot range. The new PowerShot G16 and S120have a range of exciting new features like the DIGIC 6 image processor, up to 12.2fps continuous shooting in full resolution, Star shooting mode, Background Defocus as well as artistic HDR modes. The latest budget high-powered zoom PowerShot SX510 HS and SX170 ISgive users the benefit of a long lens at attractively affordable prices.

The PowerShot G16 and S120– Artistry of Photography
The PowerShot G16 and S120 are topline PowerShot models featuring the fastest Auto Focus (AF) speeds in Canon Compact Camera history. It can also achieve super-responsive continuous shooting speeds, the PowerShot G16 is capable of capturing image at full resolution of up to 12.2 fps in P mode and 5.7 fps with AF, while the PowerShot S110 reaches up to 12.1 fps in P mode and 5.5 fps with AF. The only limitation to the stamina of their burst capability is the amount of memory in the SD card. Powered by Canon’s latest DIGIC 6 imaging processor, both cameras have improved sensitivity to shoot at higher resolutions with less noise in dark conditions. Dynamic IS now detects and compensates for tilt and parallel movement (shift blur) to create video that's exceptionally free of distortion. In addition, the DIGIC 6 Imaging Processor enables video recording in the popular MP4 high-compression format in Full HD resolution, with a smooth 60p frame rate – twice that of earlier models.

Equipped with Canon’s HS SYSTEM, which combines a high-sensitivity 12.1 megapixel CMOS sensor with the latest DIGIC 6 imaging processors, PowerShot G16 and S120 are built for ultra-fast performance and produce phenomenal image quality. Both are fitted with the newly developed 5x Optical Zoom lenses, expandable to 10x using Canon’s new ZoomPlus feature and the PowerShot G16 has a bright f/1.8 (W) – f/2.8/ (T) lens that performs beautifully especially in low light, perfect for creating dramatic soft backgrounds with shallow depth-of-field. The PowerShot S110 has improved aperture to f1.8 and a 3.0-inch touch-screen LCD for simple and casual operation.

A unique new feature of the PowerShot G16 and S120 is the new Star shooting mode, for users who like to take photos and videos of night skies. With the aid of a tripod and this new mode, users can capture the subtle beauty of stars with a PowerShot G16 or PowerShot S110. Star shooting mode allows users to capture the starry sky in either stunning still photos in two modes; Star Nightscape or Star Trails or breath-taking Star time lapse movie videos.

PowerShot G16 and S120’s take imaging to the next level by improving on existing creative filters. Featuring the new Background Defocus feature, both cameras can produce the “bokeh” effect that was previously limited to DSLRs with a simple selection of the mode. It does this by taking two photos, and the two images are then analyzed and the background is digitally blurred according to user-desired levels. The High Dynamic Range (HDR) mode was first introduced in 2010, and Canon has now improved this function by adding 5 new artistic effects to it (Natural, Art Standard, Art Vivid, Art Bold, and Art Embossed).

WiFi capabilities on these cameras allows for instant sharing and easy uploading. The Canon Image Gateway*(CIG) allows for instant uploading from the cameras. Users with smartphones can also use the Camera Window app (available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store) to perform the same function. WiFi also allows stills and videos to be shared onto social networking sites like YouTube, Facebook, and Flickr or transferring files onto a PC.

The PowerShot G16 and S120 can also be taken underwater by using optional cases, the WP-DC52 and WP-DC51 respectively.

The PowerShot SX170 IS – Perfect travel companions

The PowerShot S200 – Discover the joy of photography
The latest entrant to the topline PowerShot range, the PowerShot S200 inherits the expressive power of S Series in a slim pocket-sized stylish camera body. The same larger aperture f/2.0 (W) lens that is included on the existing S series, provides for high precision rendering. You can shoot beautifully with brilliant color tone, and a natural impression. PowerShot S200 is a 10.1 megapixel digital camera with CCD sensor and a 24mm 5x optical zoom that can be extended to an impressive approx. 9x zoom using Zoom Plus along with 36 Scenes Smart Auto and Face ID.

Running on the Advanced Digic 5 imaging processor which enhances its HS System by incorporating an advanced algorithm to deliver exceptional image quality. It also reduces far more noise at as high as 6400 ISO levels without compromising on details or resolution. Record your special moments in stunning High Definition Movie (HD Movie) with stereo sound on a 7.6cm (3.0”) LCD screen. Equipped with Intelligent IS which automatically detects the subject and adapts to optimal (lens-shift) image stabilization, compensating for camera shake and capturing image in full details without blur.

This is a camera with complete manual functions and operability of an “S Series” with the Control Wheel and the Control ring, makes it easy for users to upgrade from cameras that are mainly auto. With High Speed AF, the Camera instantly focuses within approx.20 secs as soon as it is aimed at the subject, so no lost photo opportunity.

WiFi capabilities on PowerShot S200 allows for instant sharing and easy uploading. The Canon Image Gateway*(CIG) allows for instant uploading from the cameras. Users with smartphones can also use the CameraWindow app (available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store) to perform the same function.
