Minter and Laura Ann Kelly, have been named to the 2015 list of New Jersey Super Lawyers. This marks the fifth consecutive year of inclusion on that list for Mr. Minter and the first for Ms. Kelly.
Super Lawyers is the unit of Thomson Reuters Corporation responsible for the annual compilation of a list of outstanding lawyers from each state in the country. This selection is accomplished through a multi-step process that involves an independent evaluation of peer reviews from attorneys within the nominee’s main practice areas. Attorneys selected for inclusion on the list of Super Lawyers have been recognized by their peers as having achieved the highest level of professionalism.

At Donnelly Minter & Kelly, Mr. Minter concentrates on civil litigation with a primary focus on commercial litigation, general insurance defense and professional liability defense. He appears regularly in both federal and New Jersey State courts and has had several of his malpractice cases result in published opinions. He lectures at the Institute for Continuing Legal Education in New Jersey on a regular basis and is co-author of the Institute’s annual program, “Avoiding Legal Malpractice.” Mr. Minter’s other professional affiliations include membership on the Morris County Chancery Practice Committee, of which he is currently serving as Co-Chair, and the Morris County General Equity Mediation Committee, where he also serves as Co-Chair.
In addition to this most recent achievement, Mr. Minter has an “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the oldest rating agency of legal professionals in the nation.
Ms. Kelly focuses her practice in the areas of trust and estate planning and administration, as well as business succession planning for shareholders and principals of closely-held businesses. Through her practice, Ms. Kelly addresses the private philanthropic goals of her clients, which include providing counsel on all aspects of governing nonprofit corporations and structuring private foundations and charitable trusts.
Ms. Kelly has served in both an advisory and a fiduciary capacity on the Boards of several non-profit organizations, including her current position as Vice-Chair of the Chilton Medical Center Advisory Board, Trustee of the Atlantic Health System Board of Trustees, and member of the Estate Planning Council of Northern New Jersey, for which she served as a past President.
Ms. Kelly also holds an “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell and this year she is included in NJBIZ’s 10th Anniversary of the Best 50 Women in Business, a celebration which recognizes all past recipients of this award for their significant influence on their respective industries and their impact on the general economic climate of New Jersey. Ms. Kelly was named to the list of New Jersey’s Best 50 Women in Business in 2009.
