TPRF Advocates for Peace with Release of “PEACE STARTS HERE” Video to be streamed on Peace Channel and Peacecast.TV

(PRWEB) September 14, 2016

The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF), whose mission is to address the fundamental human needs of food, water and peace, will participate in the 2016 International Day of Peace (September 21) with the debut of the “Peace Starts Here” video on September 14.

Partnering with the United Nations for the annual International Day of Peace, TPRF will join with millions of citizens and numerous NGOs worldwide in this observation of a day that provides an opportunity for all humanity to come together, in spirit and in action, to forward the ideals of and conditions for peace. The International Day of Peace was first established by unanimous UN resolution in 1981.

Produced by TPRF, the minute-long “Peace Starts Here” video features imagery striking in its simplicity, punctuated by narration based on the words of its founder, Prem Rawat, that emphasize that world peace begins with individual peace. Against the backdrop of a world wracked by increasing strife and violence, the suggestion that each person can cultivate peace within is a potent message.

“It is not the world that needs peace; it is people. When people in the world are at peace within, the world will be at peace,” says Prem Rawat.

Among TPRF’s signature initiatives is the Peace Education Program (PEP), a well-regarded program currently running in 70 countries worldwide whose mission dovetails seamlessly with that of the International Day of Peace. An innovative, educational program offered in varied settings including correctional facilities, veterans hospitals, wellness and seniors centers, PEP has touched countless lives from the U.S. to South Africa to Mexico and beyond.

The “Peace Starts Here” video will launch on September 14 and will be featured on two Peace Day video streams, including Peace Channel, a streaming site that “promotes hope and peace around the world by streaming the best of humanity 24/7.” Among the high profile advocates for peace featured on the site are Pope Francis, former U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan, President Jimmy Carter and Leonardo DiCaprio. Peacecast.tv will also show the video to thousands of people amid inspiring messages from a long list of notable grassroots organizations.

The more than 3 million views garnered by the 2015 TPRF Peace Day video, “Your Secret Weapon,” testify to the power of video and social media promotions to convey the empowering message that peace is possible.
