LawBank, the nation's first lawyer-specific co-working office environment, has expanded to a new location near Downtown Denver, CO.

Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) October 12, 2015

In November 2012, LawBank opened in South Denver as the first co-working space in the country dedicated exclusively to independent and small-practice attorneys. Now, two-and-a-half years later, the law office innovators are expanding to a second location at 1888 Sherman Street in Denver’s vibrant Uptown neighborhood, just blocks from the Colorado State Capitol, federal courts, and the heart of downtown Denver.

The addition of the Uptown location comes on the heels of rapid expansion by LawBank. During a two-year period, the lawyer-only working space expanded from an original 9,300 square feet, with 18 offices and room for 30 co-workers, to 12,500 square feet with 28 offices and room for 50 co-workers.

LawBank lets independent attorneys have 24/7 access to all the amenities of a large firm, without actually needing to be part of a large firm. Both locations include state-of-the-art phone systems, wireless access, printing and copying capabilities, a staffed reception area, a café and lounge area, and conference rooms with A/V capabilities. Attorneys can choose from open co-working areas, reserved cubicles, private offices, and mini suites. Each location also has receptionist on duty during standard office hours to answer calls and greet clients. In addition, LawBank members have access to bookkeeping, paralegal, and administrative services through LawBank’s partnership with the legal office support company, Watson.

LawBank co-founders Jay Kamlet and Jordan Deifik created the forward-thinking office solution based on Kamlet’s vision of a robust, feature-rich law office environment that would put independent practitioners on more equal footing with big-firm lawyers. Kamlet is a recognized leader in the Denver legal community who has the experience of starting his own firm. Deifik has a background in commercial real estate and handles the operational side of the business. “We wanted to create something that would be both professional and collegial,” explains Kamlet. “Working independently can be isolating, but LawBank provides lawyers with a collaborative environment where they can network with other attorneys, communicate with their colleagues about legal issues, and refer business to each other—all while being supported by a host of amenities designed specifically for attorneys.”

The new space sits at corner of 19th Ave. and Sherman St., right on the edge of Downtown Denver and the trendy Uptown neighborhood. Surrounded by fashionable restaurants, cafes and nightlife, LawBank Uptown is a short walk to the state capitol, the federal court buildings and the Colorado Bar Association’s headquarters. There are several hotels in the area, including the iconic Brown Palace. The nightlife along the 16th Street Mall is just a few blocks away, as well as the free mall shuttle that provides quick, easy access to other parts of Downtown Denver and LoDo.

Features of the new space include:

24 private offices

One 3-office mini suite with a private entrance

9 cubicles

A large, open co-working area

3 conference rooms

2 private phone booths to for the co-working section

A kitchen and café area

A staffed reception area

High-speed copiers

WiFi

Security system

Underground parking garage

LawBank will host regular events at both locations, including networking functions, continuing legal education (CLE) seminars, and informative “lunch ‘n’ learn” programs on a variety of topics affecting lawyers today. A full list of amenities can be found on the LawBank Benefits page (http://law-bank.com/benefits/).

Only attorneys may join LawBank, which sets it apart from other co-working spaces, many of which cater to creative professionals. LawBank’s emphasis on interaction among its members differentiates it from executive office complexes marketed to lawyers. In addition, the LawBank partners facilitate conversations to help members grow their businesses and connect with the services and professionals they need. LawBank maintains a website that features member profiles and provides updates on legal news relating to small firms and independent attorneys: http://www.law-bank.com. “We built LawBank to offer an alternative to the traditional working model for lawyers,” says Kamlet. “It is a place where entrepreneurial attorneys can build their own, independent practice without sacrificing professionalism.”

With an official open date of October 5, 2015, LawBank uptown is accepting office, cubicle, and co-working reservations now. Contact LawBank (http://law-bank.com/contact/) for more information.
