ROCK STEADY BOXING FOR PARKINSON’S COMES TO CARLSBAD!

CARLSBAD, CA – 10/27/2016 (PRESS RELEASE JET) — Rock Steady Boxing, a unique exercise program, based on training used by boxing pros and adapted for people with Parkinson’s disease, is now available in the Carlsbad area. The program involves non-contact, boxing enriched fitness classes attacking PD at its most vulnerable neurological points. Addressing balance, instability, rigidity, tremors, “shuffling”, “freezing”, and so much more. Led by experienced and RSB certified trainer/coach John Miller, Rock Steady Boxing Carlsbad serves both men and women of all ages and levels of ability.
“We are fortunate to be able to bring this program to Carlsbad,” said TITLE Boxing Club owner Brad Schwartz, M.D. who also successfully completed the Rock Steady Boxing Training Camp and is certified to offer Rock Steady Boxing classes to individuals with Parkinson’s disease who live in the area. Classes are now available and are offered Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
The Rock Steady Boxing method was developed in Indianapolis over the course of seven years. In 2012, the Training Camp was launched to share the Rock Steady Boxing method with other people who are fighting back against Parkinson’s. Today, there are over 200 affiliates initiated by certified Rock Steady Boxing “Coaches”. There is strong evidence that this program has had a very positive impact in reducing the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.
Title Boxing Club is a Franchise with over 160 Clubs Nationwide. The focus is to bring a boxers workout to a community without sparring or fighting. This emphasis, combined with the Rock Steady Boxing method, produces a synergy that provides one of the best programs around.
