As Virtual Reality and VFX seep into mainstream electronic media, expanding the boundaries of the audience experience, Europe’s largest professional broadcast show becomes a hub for the cutting-edge ideas and technologies that will lead news and entertainment broadcasting to its future.

Amsterdam, Holland (PRWEB) September 09, 2016

Perception Neuron will be introducing its motion capture technology to electronic media and entertainment industry professionals from around the world when it marks its first appearance at the annual IBC, Europe’s largest professional broadcast show, taking place September 8-13 at the Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre.

Perception Neuron will be showcasing its full-body, sensor-based motion capture suit which is equipped with full-finger capability, the option of recording wirelessly, and both live and recorded data capturing.

IBC 2016, whose theme this year is, Transformation in the Digital Era: Leadership, Strategy and Creativity in Media and Entertainment, spans five days with the conference taking place from September 8-12 and the exhibition from September 9-13. Perception Neuron will be exhibiting in the Future Zone, a forum for pioneering projects and prototypes, during the exhibition portion of the conference.

Already known among film makers, visual effects studios, animators and independent game developers as one of the most adaptive and affordable motion capture systems currently available, Perception Neuron has proven as well to be a versatile tool for the telling of digital stories. In May, Perception Neuron became part of the biggest virtual reality event ever when Altspace VR and comedian Reggie Watts used the system as the conduit to broadcasting a live performance within a virtual setting.

Noitom hopes the conference will help attract the attention of content producers seeking out newer and more innovative ways to reach audiences. As real-time feedback and interactions within virtual environments become more familiar to audiences, a host of possibilities is opening up for television and news production.

“As the real and virtual worlds continue to connect and open up new ways of storytelling in the digital age, Perception Neuron’s technology can play a meaningful role in leading the future of electronic broadcasting” says Haoyang Liu, CEO of Noitom. “The capability to interact with and engage audiences using motion capture is one of the many ways we imagined for using Perception Neuron. A product like this is not only great for individuals working in film, animation and gaming, but it can really make an effective tool for communicating effectively with, or entertaining audiences.”

IBC 2016 conference and exhibition takes place September 8-13. Perception Neuron will be presenting at the IBC Future Zone, Stand 8.G03h, during the exhibition portion of IBC 2016, September 9-13. For registration, schedules, and general information about IBC, please visit http://www.ibc.org.
