Dr. Sharon White selected for her outstanding leadership and commitment within her profession

The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Dr. Sharon White as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in aerospace aviation. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting 850,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.

With 40 years of industry experience, Dr. Sharon White describes herself as a self-starter who is highly productive under pressure. Her areas of expertise include aerospace, commercial aviation, contract negotiations, evaluating supplier cost proposals, measuring contract performance and putting together high-performing teams.
Dr. White earned her Doctorate in Business Management with a concentration in Motivation from Argosy University Orange County in 2014. She defended her dissertation titled Making a Business Case for Change: Is There a Link Between Intrinsic Motivation and Retention and Black Females in the Aerospace Industry? She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta, a public service sorority.
Prior to her current employment at Parker Hannifin, Dr. White held two separate supply chain management positions within the Boeing Company from 1974 to 2009. She then took a position as a Math Teacher for Green Dot Public Schools where she taught ninth and tenth grades.
When not at work, Dr. White devotes her time to the board of directors of Equity Schools, Inc. and the Mattison L. Haywood ‘Love is Key’ Foundation (http://www.loveiskey.us).
