Gartner, a leading IT research firm, positioned the evaluated vendors in the portal market based on independent research and analysis. The Magic Quadrant gives enterprises a way to assess how well technology providers are executing their stated visions and how well they are performing against Gartner’s market view. The 2015 report is available via Liferay: http://www.liferay.com/gartner-mq.
According to Gartner, the portal market is experiencing a resurgence: “The past five years has witnessed a massive transformation of the market for horizontal portals. The nexus of mobile, social, cloud and information has at once heightened the demand for this ‘personalized point of access …’ and engendered alternative ways to accomplish it.”
“Today’s companies have an opportunity to connect with their customers, employees and partners at a highly individual level,” said Ed Chung, VP of Global Product Management for Liferay. “We’ve built the Liferay platform to make it easy to engage users with personalized, consistent experiences on the devices of their choosing. We believe Gartner’s continued recognition affirms that Liferay technology helps companies make the most of this opportunity.”
Liferay has continued to build out its flagship product, Liferay Portal, to deliver to enterprises a scalable, reliable platform designed for creating modern websites and mobile apps for continuity in customer experiences.
Liferay will be showcasing its award-winning portal technologies at the annual Liferay Symposium North America, held November 16 to 17 in Chicago. Attendees representing businesses in several verticals will find strategies for increasing enterprise productivity, mobility, and audience engagement from over 60 available business sessions, case studies, and technical workshops. Liferay 7 will also be available for hands-on demonstrations in advance of its 2016 public launch.
