1000heads awarded Best Community Development for work with Currys PC World and wins silver place for its work with Microsoft Lumia in the Best Digital Rebrand category.
(PRWEB UK) 31 October 2015
The world’s leading Word of Mouth agency, 1000heads, (http://1000heads.com/work/) has scooped two of the industry’s most prestigious accolades at this year’s Digital Impact Awards. 1000heads won Best Community Development project for its Currys PC World #Matchmaker campaign, which introduced the brand’s new ‘We Start With You’ messaging to the online world.
The agency also received silver place in the Best Digital Rebrand category for its ‘Nokia to Microsoft’ campaign, which seamlessly navigated the migration of 81 million fans, across hundreds of social presences, from Nokia to Microsoft Mobile.
Bridget Meiring, Social Media Marketing Manager at Currys PC world, emphasised the excellent results achieved by 1000heads. She said:
“We asked 1000heads to help us demonstrate our understanding of people's relationships with technology, and bring to life our brand promise, 'We Start With You'. We started with the community. We listened to how they felt about their tech – when it made their lives easier, and when it failed them – and offered personalised recommendations on products that would suit their individual needs.
“As well as ensuring that the campaign was based on true social insights, and that it generated lots of positive chat with our community, 1000heads produced the beautiful animations that captured attention in the newsfeed, and continue to appear and delight fans on our social channels today.”
Also highlighting the agency’s strong performance, Fergus Lynch, Head of Social from Microsoft Mobile, said:
“The results driven by 1000heads were superb. They retained 93% (63m) of our fans and followers in the move to 170 presences under one consolidated Microsoft Mobile platform, and, over 12m fans were retained on Nokia’s original presences. More importantly, however, the behaviour of these newly positioned fans and followers didn’t deviate.
“1000heads’ leadership, vision and dedication were central to the activity’s resounding success. Their involvement ensured we met our commercial objectives, whilst keeping our fans engaged and informed; fans that are pivotal in the business’ future achievements.”
Commenting on the award wins, 1000heads Managing Director, Frank Grindrod, said:
“We are incredibly proud of both campaigns and it’s great to get industry recognition for the strong results we delivered for our clients and the experience we created with, and for, their passionate communities. The teams worked side by side their clients to pull out all the stops, providing innovative strategy, well-crafted ideas and meticulous implementation. The impact of the work is clearly a reflection of this.”
