San Francisco (PRWEB) March 10, 2017

Leading career and higher education resource provider LearnHowToBecome.org has released its list of Iowa’s Best Colleges for 2017. Using data points such as student’s post-college earnings, graduation rates and more, the site ranks Iowa’s four-year and two-year colleges for overall excellence, with Allen College, Drake University, Saint Ambrose University, University of Iowa and Iowa State University as the highest scoring of 29 total four-year schools. Western Iowa Tech Community College, Northwest Iowa Community College, Hawkeye Community College, North Iowa Area Community College and Kirkwood Community College ranked highest among the 16 two-year schools on the list. A complete list of schools is included below.

“Colleges all across the state of Iowa are providing educational opportunities for those looking to start, advance and change careers to meet the demand,” said Wes Ricketts, senior vice president of LearnHowToBecome.Org. “Schools on our list are showing continued success in preparing students for work in a variety of fields and specializations.”

Schools on Iowa’s “Best Colleges” leaderboard need to meet specific base requirements to be included: all must be regionally accredited, public or private not-for-profit institutions. Additional scoring criteria is also established based on statistics and data points reported by schools annually, including alumni earnings post-graduation, tuition and fees, financial aid availability and graduation rates.
