50 Best Workplaces for Giving Back – 2016

Fort Worth, Texas (PRWEB) May 07, 2016

The results are in, and Inspirus has been named one of the nation’s 50 Best Workplaces for Giving Back, a new ranking by Great Place to Work® and media partner Fortune.

Inspirus ranked 34th on the list, which recognizes companies that give their employees the chance to make a positive impact both on and off the job.

Some 240,000 employee assessment surveys were analyzed from nearly 600 companies in a diverse range of industries. Employees rated their sense that they make a difference in their jobs, the meaningfulness of their work and the impact they feel their organizations make in the community. The list also took into account the generosity of the companies’ community-oriented programs relative to their size and revenue.

“The Best Workplaces for Giving Back demonstrate more than just a commitment to charity,” said Kim Peters, executive vice president at Great Place to Work. “These organizations have earned employees’ admiration by involving staffers in their community service efforts and contributing resources in ways that genuinely reflect their unique cultures.”

Inspirus employees deliver Meals on Wheels, help build Habitat for Humanity homes, participate in Welcome Home a Hero at DFW International Airport, pick up trash during Keep Fort Worth Beautiful’s Cowtown Cleanup, collect clothing for the Salvation Army and support Rivertree Academy, a private school for under-resourced students.

Not only do these 50 Best Workplaces for Giving Back stand out for their generosity, Peters noted, but their team members also express a great deal of pride in what their organizations accomplish.

“Working for a company that believes in paying it forward – and offers opportunities for us to do so – is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job,” said Liz Humber, an Inspirus accounting coordinator who is active in the company’s Meals on Wheels and Rivertree Academy service programs. “We make two weekly deliveries for Meals on Wheels, 52 weeks a year, and estimate that Inspirus employees have delivered more than 5,000 meals and hundreds of Christmas gifts over the past five years."

“And at Rivertree Academy, Inspirus provides volunteer hours for us to work in the classrooms with the children and makes financial contributions to sponsor tuition scholarships for students. None of this would be possible without our company’s commitment to giving back.”
