Meyer Vacation Rentals Enhances Guest Experience With Speedy Check-In Service

Gulf Shores, Alabama (PRWEB) March 09, 2017

Meyer Vacation Rentals is gearing up for a busy Spring Break season by enhancing the guest check-in experience. This is the first Spring Break season Meyer has allowed guests who have booked Express Check-in enabled vacation properties to bypass the rental office and begin their vacation experience sooner.

"We typically have paused our Express Check-in service during Spring Break and required guests to come by the office in person to pick up keys and key codes for access to their properties," said Steve Wilson, director of sales and marketing. "This year, thanks to policies such as our 25-year-old rental age requirement on most properties and a Spring Break season-only ban on alcohol on beaches within Gulf Shores city limits, our leadership feels confident in providing key codes by text and email. Express Check-in is designed to allow guests to begin their vacation sooner, enhancing their overall experience."

Meyer Vacation Rentals manages more than 1,100 vacation rental properties in the Gulf Coast communities of Gulf Shores, Fort Morgan and Orange Beach, Ala., and Perdido Key, Fla., and has hosted families’ vacations in the area since 1967. Meyer’s selection of beach houses is the largest and most varied of any vacation rental company in the area, with houses able to accommodate from two to 56 people.

Also enhancing the Spring Break vacation experience is a discount of 30 percent off participating beach condos and houses, Wilson said.

“It’s March already, and properties ranging from 20-bedroom houses perfect for a large family or group of families to one-bedroom condos are booking fast, especially with our 30 percent discount off participating beach condos and houses throughout the area,” he said. “With reservations speeding up, families should book now to secure their Spring Break week at the beach.”

The Alabama/Florida Gulf Coast area is known for its temperate climate, sugar-white beaches and warm Gulf of Mexico water. There are more than 38 miles of beaches and attractions for families to explore.

GULF SHORES

In Gulf Shores, vacationers will find numerous public beach accesses, including a main access at the foot of Ala. Hwy. 59, popular restaurants, the 6,000-acre Gulf State Park, amusement parks and more.

Located only three miles west of the main public beach area in Gulf Shores, The Wild Air is a cheery, bright blue, seven-bedroom, well-furnished Gulf-front house capable of comfortably sleeping up to 18 guests. Upstairs, the master suite overlooks the Gulf of Mexico and offers direct access via private balcony to the outdoors. The master bath is outfitted with a large Jacuzzi tub situated beside a picture window framing the Gulf.

Pink Palace is in the exclusive Laguna Key neighborhood. The house features both open and covered decks. Four bedrooms and 4 ½ baths make it easy to sleep up to 10 people comfortably.

FORT MORGAN

Beaches near historic Fort Morgan are perfect for a more laid-back beach experience. For example, the beach at the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge is a peaceful, all-natural stretch of coastline brimming with an array of native wildlife.

Enjoy a Fort Morgan beach escape as you float in your own private pool at Beach Estate West, a Gulf-front property 17 miles west of the hustle and bustle of Gulf Shores. Beach Estate West sleeps up to 20 people in its six bedrooms, including three master suites that overlook the Gulf. A large kitchen and dining area makes feeding a large group a breeze. Read a good book as you enjoy the view from Brazilian hardwood decks on each level.

For those looking for a relaxing bayside experience, the newly remodeled Bay Escape is a great choice. Located on Mobile Bay in the Fort Morgan area, this coastal cottage features two bedrooms and two baths and can sleep up to eight people. A covered deck, a new fishing pier with fish-cleaning station and a grassy yard make enjoying a laid-back bay experience a breeze.

ORANGE BEACH

Orange Beach is highly regarded for its sporting opportunities, notably surf fishing and deep-sea charter fishing excursions. Visitors who want to explore the back bay area might enjoy a dolphin or nature cruise or a dining experience at waterfront restaurants.

A house that evokes the feeling of being immersed in the laid-back, island lifestyle the area has long been known for: Bayland. This six-bedroom property can accommodate up to 15 people and offers a 180-degree view of the Gulf from the living room. A covered porch and large shade trees invite guests to sit a spell and watch dolphin frolic and fishing boats motor by.

Located in the quaint beachside community of Cottages at Romar in Orange Beach, Cottage with a Porpoise combines a modern taste of luxury with the comforting charm of a Southern beach cottage. The two-story, two-bedroom, two-bath house features covered porches on the front and the back, creating the perfect laid-back environment for visitors to breathe in fresh salt air, relax in the warmth of Gulf breezes, and listen to waves wash in and out.

PERDIDO KEY

Just across the state line from Orange Beach, Perdido Key is a 24-acre barrier island off the coast of Florida that is a popular habitat for shorebirds with stunning white-sand beaches. It is also popular among visitors craving an old-Florida experience who delight in sharing habitat with wildlife such as osprey, dolphin and loggerhead turtles that reside in the beaches, bay, bayous and estuaries.

With 12 bedrooms and the capacity to sleep up to 30, Ledlow is a popular Perdido Key Gulf-front property for large groups. This large house can be rented as a single, connected property. Or, since it can be divided into three individual sections—Ledlow 1, Ledlow 2 and Ledlow 3—it is also right-sized for smaller families in need of a bit less space.

For those in search of an island escape in the heart of one of Perdido Key’s most colorful subdivisions, Salt Life could be the perfect fit. Salt Life is located in the gated community of Banana Bay only 100 yards from a private, sandy beach on the Intracoastal Waterway and a short 1.2-mile drive to public beach access on the Gulf of Mexico.

GULF COAST CITIES FOCUS ON FAMILY

In addition to a Spring Break season-only ban of alcohol possession and consumption on beaches within Gulf Shores city limits, Gulf Shores and Orange Beach have taken other proactive measures to keep beaches clean and safe for visitors.

The Leave Only Footprints policy exists to ensure the health of the area’s white-sand beaches, the beachgoers who enjoy them, and the diverse wildlife that depends on them.

The program’s implementation has resulted in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach city ordinances that require beachgoers to take their belongings with them each night—including beach toys, tents, umbrellas, chairs, etc.

“Every guest spends weeks and months planning their trip to the beach, and they all have visions of that first glimpse of the pristine beach in the morning,” said Michelle Hodges, president of Meyer Vacation Rentals. “There is no doubt our guests appreciate and benefit from this effort.”

Meyer Awarding 50 Free Vacations In 2017

To celebrate Meyer’s 50-year tradition of family-focused fun, Meyer is surprising 50 lucky guests with a free beach vacation in 2017. “It’s our small way of saying ‘thank you’ to the loyal guests we have hosted since 1967,” Hodges said. “Guests staying in a Meyer-managed property on the day of the surprise drawing are automatically included in the drawing for that day. We’ve already had the pleasure of awarding beach vacations to several surprised and thrilled guests.” Learn more about the giveaway. Meet our winners.

Terry N. brought her family to Gulf Shores for a Spring Break visit in 2016 and said this vacation helped create memories for her family to carry with them forever.

“We were referred 10 years ago to Meyer Vacation Rentals and this area from a family member. We started out at Sea Spray. And, as our family grew, we kept renting larger homes for our annual Spring Break trip to Gulf Shores. The trip is our Christmas present to our family members who live in other parts of the country: Texas, Michigan and Georgia. We unite every spring and are leaving a legacy for their family memories.”
