ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. (PRWEB) March 02, 2015
Jillian C. Bunyan, of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, is speaking March 6 on the “Valuation and Pricing of Distributed Solar Photovoltaics” at The Energy Authority’s 2015 Energy Symposium in Atlantic Beach.
The Energy Authority works with more than 50 public power utilities nationwide to optimize the value of generation and load in wholesale energy markets. Its annual Energy Symposium provides energy professionals the opportunity to collaborate and facilitate in-depth discussions in their niche areas.
Bunyan will speak about retail net metering and the evolving landscape of solar microgeneration. She will address social and environmental implications of net metering as currently applied across the United States. In addition, she will present alternative pricing mechanisms that may compensate solar distributed generation users accurately while also encouraging development of larger-scale renewables. The presentation is based on her December 2014 article in The Electricity Journal, "Valuation of Distributed Solar: A Qualitative View."
Bunyan's practice focuses on environmental and energy matters including natural resource counseling and renewable energy restructuring, as well as litigation related to contaminated sediment, hydrofracking, and compressed natural gas.
