Founders Group International Offers Premium Rates For The Golden Bear's Courses And Extends Reduced Rates At Other FGI Courses As Well For Golfers Who Book By August 31

Myrtle Beach, S.C. (PRWEB) July 18, 2016

Founders Group International (FGI) wants golfers to “Challenge the Bear” by taking a shot at two Myrtle Beach area golf courses designed by the Golden Bear himself, Jack Nicklaus. Golfers who book their fall rounds between July 18 and August 31 will receive $10 off each round at Nicklaus' Long Bay Golf Club and Pawleys Plantation Golf and Country Club. FGI is also offering $5 off each round at its 20 other Myrtle Beach area courses.

“These are challenging, but fair courses that put golfers to the test,” said Steve Mays, director of marketing and sales for Founders Group International. “Fall is a popular time for golf on the Grand Strand, with just-right temperatures and and mostly sunny days. With our fall discounts, golfers can make a week out of playing some of the best courses in the area.”

At Long Bay Golf Club, Nicklaus kept many of the existing dogwoods, pines, and maples, calling for strategy off the tee. Players have to navigate a variety of bunker styles, elevations and some shallow greens. Crystal-blue streams that cut through several holes add to the beauty and difficulty. Long Bay Golf Club received 4.5 stars from Golf Digest's “Places to Play.”

Pawleys Plantation is nestled among moss-draped oaks, and weaves around natural wetlands and salt marshes. Bordered by a 600-acre nature preserve, Pawleys Plantation is a course where Nicklaus carved out formidable par 4s, beautiful par 3s and memorable par 5s. Known for extraordinary views, it is a Lowcountry favorite that has received numerous accolades from Golf Digest, Golf Magazine and other national media. This year, the South Carolina Golf Course Ratings Panel ranked Pawleys Plantation Golf & Country Club among the top 50 golf courses in South Carolina.

FGI operates 20 other courses up and down the Grand Strand, including three of the 15 best public courses in South Carolina, according to Golfweek magazine — King's North at Myrtle Beach National, TPC Myrtle Beach and Grande Dunes Resort Course.
