The Global Education Conference (GEC) is a collaborative and world-wide community convening designed to significantly increase opportunities for globally-connecting educators and programs. This event seeks to present ideas, examples, and projects related to connecting educators and classrooms with a strong emphasis on promoting global awareness, fostering global competency, and inspiring action towards solving real-world problems. Through this conference, attendees will challenge themselves and others to become more active citizens of the world. Participants are encouraged to learn, question, create, and engage in meaningful, authentic opportunities within a global context!

This event will take place Sunday, November 13, 2016, through Wednesday, November 16, 2016, in most time zones. Conference strands include approximately 150 sessions focused on teachers, students, curriculum, leadership, and dual language programs. Over 15 invited keynotes will also share their expertise including Jonathan Rochelle, Director of Product Management at Google Apps for Education (now G Suite for Education), Dr. Tonya Muro, Executive Director of IEARN-USA, Lord Jim Knight, Chief Education Adviser at TES, and Kevin Smith, Senior Director of Global Schools at VIF International Education.

The Global Education Conference has partnered this year with iEARN to host their annual conference and youth summit in tandem with the main Global Education Conference. Additional sponsors include Google, TES, and VIF International Education. Chrome Warrior will be providing an engaging and interactive professional development game for conference attendees.
