Twenty years of service to institutional investors, entrepreneurial managers, and the community

Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) September 09, 2016

FIS Group, a manager of U.S. and global developed, emerging and frontier markets equity portfolio strategies, is celebrating its 20th anniversary of working alongside institutional investors across the nation, helping entrepreneurial asset management firms advance, and serving the Philadelphia community.

“When I founded FIS Group 20 years ago, I saw an opportunity to make an impact for investors, managers, and my community,” said Tina Byles Williams, CEO and CIO of FIS Group. "Our longevity and success can be attributed to our being innovative and forward thinking and believing that diverse, entrepreneurial firms are just as highly skilled and qualified and have the ability to achieve alpha,” she added.

FIS Group now manages over $4 billion and is one of the leading “manager of managers” with expertise in identifying and constructing funds comprised of emerging and principally minority and/or women owned investment firms that have a high probability of performance success. To date, FIS Group has brought over 160 investment firms into its portfolios, 60% of which are women and minority-owned.

FIS Group has a well-established record of helping entrepreneurial asset management firms grow. Since its inception, FIS Group has provided the first external dollar of institutional funding for more than 25% of the entrepreneurial firms it has worked with. In addition to funding opportunities, the FIS Group Ecosystem provides access to working capital and discounted access to critical infrastructure resources: accounting, legal, compliance, back office and auditing services, as well as marketing support and trading platforms.

FIS Group has achieved notable recognition in the national and financial media. For their unique and valuable perspectives and expertise in the emerging manager and asset management space, Tina Byles Williams and other FIS Group executives have been quoted by Pensions & Investments, Institutional Investor, Bloomberg TV, Financial Times, and have achieved other significant media placements and thought leadership.
