Family Source Consultants has opened a new office location in the Stone Oak neighborhood in San Antonio, Texas. The gestational surrogacy and egg donation agency, started in Illinois in 2007 and expanded to the Lone Star State to better serve their growing number of intended parents and surrogates. The office is located at 401 East Sonterra Blvd., #375, San Antonio, TX 78258.
Family Source Consultants matches and facilitates gestational surrogacy and egg donation arrangements for those wanting to start a family. Family Source Consultants’ intended parents come from across the globe to build their families, while Egg Donors and Surrogates may travel from other states.
“San Antonio is great community for us to call our second home,” said Family Source Consultants Co-Founder Staci Swiderski. “Texas has surrogacy-friendly laws in place making it an ideal location to come to. We already have many of our clients come to us from the South, so it was a natural move to open an office here.”
While surrogacy laws vary from state to state, Texas has laws in place making the process easier for surrogates and intended parents. Pursuant to Chapter 160 of the Texas Family Code, once an agreement is validated by the Texas courts, the child the gestational surrogate is carrying is considered the biological child of the intended parents. The intended parents' names will be on birth certificate and there is no need for the adoption process.
The Texas office will be run by Diego Martinez. Mr. Martinez joined Family Source Consultants after his sister had struggled with fertility issues of her own and pursued Gestational Surrogacy via the help of Family Source Consultants, resulting in boy/girl twins. His understanding of the process and past experience in customer service roles, makes him a natural fit for the role. Family Source Consultants is a member of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and the San Antonio LGBT Chamber of Commerce.
