Innovative, content-rich music programs recognized by 20th Annual Education Software Review Awards

Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) October 14, 2015

Connections Education, a leading provider of high-quality, highly accountable virtual education solutions for students in grades K–12, has been recognized for its K–8 Suite of Music Courses by ComputEd Gazette's 20th Annual Education Software Review Awards (EDDIE Awards). This award marks the sixth consecutive year that Connections Education has been honored with an EDDIE Award.

Connections Education’s honored Suite of Music Courses spans the K-8 spectrum and includes nine courses consisting of 36 units, all closely aligned to the National Core Arts Standards. With the band of courses, students learn and apply music fundamentals and concepts, build on musicianship skills, and enhance their knowledge of musical cultures, among other themes and skills. With audio, visual, and interactive technologies, these courses provide a unique and advanced learning experience for students as they work to discover their musical identities.

“Technology has empowered students across the globe to access personalized learning opportunities in performing arts,” said Dr. Patricia Hoge, executive vice president of curriculum and instruction and chief academic officer for Connections Education. “Connections Education is honored to be recognized for the power of our online music courses in helping students expand their fundamental musicianship.”

The EDDIE Awards recognize innovative and content-rich programs that augment the classroom curriculum and improve teacher productivity, providing parents and teachers with technology to foster educational excellence. Winning programs and websites are selected from publishers worldwide.
