Valley’s best and brightest recognized at 12th annual event

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (PRWEB) April 28, 2016

ACG Silicon Valley celebrated the 2016 GROW! Awards at a sold-out ceremony held at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California on April 27, 2016, recognizing Fitbit, the leader in the connected health and fitness market, and Ambarella, Inc., a leading developer of low-power, HD and Ultra HD video compression and image processing semiconductors.

The GROW! Awards honor two of the fastest-growing Silicon Valley companies. Fitbit received the GROW! Award for Outstanding Growth Company, and Ambarella won the GROW! Award for Emerging Growth Company.

Jeremy Burton, president of products and marketing at EMC, keynoted the awards ceremony. Sally Pera, CEO of ACG Silicon Valley, served as the master of ceremonies. Author, well-known technology journalist and entrepreneur Michael Malone wrote a missive that was delivered at the event. Whipsaw CEO Dan Harden introduced two brand-new product designs during the Coolest Products Showcase. Proceeds of the Showcase Raffle benefited the Ravenswood Makerspace Collaborative.

“For 12 years, ACG Silicon Valley has recognized companies like GoPro, Salesforce, VMware, HP, Adobe, Symantec, SanDisk, Oracle Corporation, Cisco Systems and Intel Corporation for their innovation and strategic growth, and we continue to be inspired by the ingenuity and acumen of the Valley’s best and brightest,” said Sally Pera, CEO of ACG Silicon Valley. “Each year, the GROW! Awards give leaders from across Silicon Valley the opportunity to come together to honor our peers and share an evening in celebration of this community’s unique and considerable contributions to the Valley, the country, and the world at large.”

ACG Silicon Valley, which is the Silicon Valley chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, chose the winners in each category to reflect the best qualities of Silicon Valley’s many fine companies. In addition to outstanding financial performance, candidates had to show a sustainable record of innovation, corporate value-building and social involvement. In these challenging times, the expectation of candidates’ continued role as mainstays of the Silicon Valley community is paramount.
