"Bunny is an ambitious record, an unabashedly rock ‘n’ roll record, and an important one.”
- Lyndsey Parker, Yahoo! Music
“Bunny by Halo Circus is not only a musical triumph, but it uniquely exemplifies and transcends the demographic and cultural change overtaking the United States, the emergence of a new American Latino generation.”
- Alexandra Juryte, Revolution 360
“This album smells dynamite powder, and for a little less than 50 minutes, it delivers one fiery anthem after another, one explosive rocking pop song after another.”
- Alyson Camus, Rock NYC Live and Recorded
"Allison Iraheta has moved beyond reality TV, forming a group that Duran Duran bassist John Taylor called ‘the best live band in the U.S.A.’ Think: dark, anthemic rock with a knack for soaring hooks."
- Robert Spuhler, Los Angeles Magazine
Los Angeles, CA (July 12, 2016)—Fresh on the heels of their debut full-length album, Bunny, critically-acclaimed band Allison Iraheta + Halo Circus are hitting the road for their highly anticipated US tour beginning late July and running through Fall 2016.
The tour has already made history with its successful crowd-funding campaign. Back in February via Road Nation, the band declared that any town in America that raised $600 would get to host a Halo Circus show. Within weeks, the campaign reached 100% fan backing, setting a record for the largest US crowdfunded tour to date, with 30+ cities on the schedule. They’ve booked a little over half the dates with the following cities confirmed as of press time:
7/25 Hunnypot at The Mint Los Angeles, CA
8/18 Vincenzo's Pizza Santa Clarita, CA
8/19 Doc’s Lab San Francisco, CA
8/20 The Bank Sports Lounge Taft, CA

Refreshing, arresting and completely original, Allison Iraheta + Halo Circus have boldly gone their own way since forming in 2012. They quickly developed a reputation for their impressive live performances, which led to a series of high profile bookings, including: The Grammys "Women Who Rock Festival At Sea" with Heart, Emmylou Harris, and other iconic female singers; a residency at the prestigious Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles; and "Say It Loud! A Night of Cultural Disruption" at the legendary Troubadour.
Allison Iraheta + Halo Circus released their very first full-length album, Bunny, on June 24, 2016. Bunny has already received a great deal of critical acclaim, including four LA Music Critic award nominations: Best Rock Band; Best Pop Female; Best Single (Desire); and Best Video (Desire). The LA Music Critic award celebrates independent artists in Los Angeles, with judges consisting of writers for local publications including Music Connection, Orange County Register, Riverside Press-Enterprise, Associated Content, Examiner.com and AXS.com. Winners will be announced on July 22. More details here: http://www.lamusiccritic.com/indie_voice_blog/la-music-critic-awards-nominations-announced-for-first-half-of-2016/
Allison Iraheta + Halo Circus was co-founded by former American Idol star Iraheta and multi-platinum producer, producer and bassist Matthew Hager (Duran Duran, Scott Weiland), and joined on drums by accomplished Cantonese and orchestral drummer Veronica Bellino, who’s previously worked with Jeff Beck and DMC of Run DMC; and on guitar by Brian Stead, an intense, thoughtful guitarist with his own unique voice. Bunny was produced by Hager, mixed by multiple Grammy Award-winner Craig Bauer (Kanye West, Rihanna, Smashing Pumpkins); and mastered by Grammy-winning vinyl mastering engineer Eric Boulanger (One Republic, Imagine Dragons). The album was recorded at Little White Lotus Studios in Compton. Musically, Bunny represents a return to—or better, a portent of—an era when albums were events and meant to be heard from start to finish, “preferably with your eyes closed,” adds Hager.
Iraheta concludes, “Our aim was high: play as much as possible, and try to develop a reputation as a great live band before releasing an album. Somehow along the way, we learned how to play these songs to an audience and the band actually started to take on a life of its own.” Now, as they tour the new album, Halo Circus will bring their fans a trove of new material to satisfy their musical cravings.
