The deal of the week is the LG 505C touchscreen QWERTY slider for Tracfone. Regularly $89.99, the 505C is on sale for $26.99 at Amazon or $25.99 at ShopCellDeals eBay store store. Either way shipping is free.
The LG 505C pluses include a very good QWERTY keyboard, triple minutes for life and the fact that it runs on the Verizon network. It also has an MP3 music player, 3.5 mm headphone jack, 2.8 inch screen and a 1.2 MP camera. It's not a smartphone by any means, but it can run Java apps including Google Maps and the Opera Mini web browser
Last's weeks deal of the week, the Virgin Mobile Kyocera Event Android phone is still available for $49.99 with free shipping at Amazon.com or $59.99 from RadioShack. If you buy the phone from Radio Shack you also get a coupon worth $10 towards a future RadioShack purchase. The phone's regular price is $79.99.
The Event is notable for running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which is rare for a sub $80 phone. It has a 1 GHz processor, 320x480 px 3.5 inch screen, a better than average 3.2 MP camera with video capture and LED flash, 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory.
