This summer's transfer window has been the busiest and most expensive yet as it saw clubs spending over the £1bn mark on players during the course of the window.

Many of the major Premier Leagues big summer ingoing's and outgoings happened before the last day of the transfer window, however here are some of the main transfers that occurred during the final day of the window:

Jack Wilshere

This has to be the most surprising move during the deadline day with Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere moving to Bournemouth on loan until the end of the season. In order to achieve more first team football, and to attempt to get back into the England squad in the near future, Wilshere has moved to the South Coast side after falling down the pecking order at Arsenal. Wilshere reportedly turned down offers from European giants such as Roma and Ac Milan and other clubs to join Bournemouth.

Bournemouth's chief executive, Neil Blake praised the acquisition of  a highly talented player like Wilshere by saying; "Jack is a fantastic addition to the club. He will bring a wealth of international and Premier League experience, so we are all delighted to be able to welcome a player of his calibre to the club."

Joe Hart

Another big name England player Joe Hart, moved away from one of the Premier Leagues biggest clubs Manchester City to join Italian Serie A side Torino on loan until the end of the season. Hart, who is in the England squad for the upcoming international matches was given permission to leave the camp temporarily to seal his move to Torino after being frozen out of the Manchester City side this season.

Hart, 29, did not feature in the Premier League this season under new manager Pep Guardiola, who told Hart when he joined that he was free to leave the club. After Guardiola opted to play Willy Caballero from the first game of the season, and with City signing Barcelona goalkeeper, Claudio Bravo, it was only a matter of time before Hart had no choice but to leave. Hart could make his Torino debut in their next match against Atalanta after the international break.

Other Manchester City players to leave on loan on deadline day included; Samir Nasri moving to Spanish side Sevilla, striker Wilfried Bony moving to Stoke City, and Eliaquim Mangala moving to Valencia.

David Luiz

Another surprising move during the deadline day was PSG defender David Luiz re-joining former club Chelsea for a fee of around £30m, only two years after leaving Chelsea for the French champions. Luiz has returned to Stamford Bridge on a three-year deal.

The defender has won the Champions League and FA Cup with Chelsea in 2012 during his first spell with the club, as well as winning the Europa League only a year later. He won two French Ligue 1 titles with PSG, and has been capped over 50 times for his country Brazil.
