Thought I should get going on this as my car is almost done (that's never the case though).
Bought my car towards the end of 2010 as a completely stock 89 2.0si. I started with the suspension and brakes then cleaned up the engine bay and did the exhaust. I was pretty happy with the end result but in early 2012 I had the urge to do an H22 swap after too much reading of these fantastic forums, so I started buying parts. I completed the majority of my swap by April 2013 (huge thanks to the family shop, Lude72, 2nd One, Dexter, Reyke, Rosko Racing, ESP, Auto Muffler King prelude3g.com and the forums for all the help) and was able to drive my car home from VA Beach. A couple Saturdays a month to do car work definitely stretch the process out.

---This pretty much sums up everything before my H22 swap. A few small things I didn't add such as installing slim fans and re-doing the ground wires. But the majority of it is there.---
THE H22 SWAP BEGINS...
---Bought an H22a swap from Hmotors, replaced as many gaskets as I could get to and the water pump/timing belt/clutch/flywheel, ordered the axles from Raxles, harness from Rywire, made an order for mounts and a traction bar from ESP and started more reading.
---Picked up I believe the only aluminum radiator for our cars on ebay along with a fan shroud for a miata that fit and had the tabs relocated so it can bolt together.---
---Time to install---
plate for the rywire harness
---Installed the whiteline sway bars, end links and new wheels (thanks Toxxic)---
---After wanting to give up plenty of times and a lot of bad words finally got the car started up after the ass whooping by the wiring. Shortly after driving around with just a header, it was time for an exhaust.
I was sold on a S.S one and I wanted Vibrant so I started gathering parts. Auto Muffler King in Newport news did an amazing job cutting, measuring and tig welding the pieces together. It did take two trips due to me not having all the parts ready. They also made me the plate for my rywire harness above and cut me an intake from 3" aluminized tubing and welded in a bracket to hold it in place.
---Euro R intake mani with RDX injectors and fuel rail, IACV relocation install (thanks Rosko Racing)
