Jotun Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom’s number one coating manufacturer, was Platinum Sponsor of the 15th Middle East Corrosion Conference & Exhibition held 2nd till 5th February 2014 at the Gulf Hotel Bahrain under the patronage of H.E. Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and Minister of Oil and Gas Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The bi-yearly event was organized by NACE Dhahran Saudi Arabia Section and the Bahrain Society of Engineers and is recognized as the prime venue for sharing knowledge among professionals in all areas of corrosion protection.
During the exciting four-day event, Jotun Saudia threw the spotlight onto its ‘Single Source Solution’ (SSS), a concept of a complete corrosion protection that makes use of combining technology from Jotun Protective & Powder Coatings. Participating at MECC 2014 is part of Jotun Saudia’s continuing move to consolidate its position as a strategic one-stop-shop for corrosion protection. Jotun Saudia brought in some of its leading experts to talk about the dynamics of SSS and the key advantages and benefits to be gained from using it. Rene Mayer (Global Concept Manager - Jotun Powder Coatings) and Richard Cowl (Global Business Development Manager - Jotun Powder Coatings) gave a poster presentation on Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) for reinforcing steel while Miles Buckhurst (Global Concept Director HPI – Jotun Protective Coatings) and Anton Hajj (Assistant Global Concept Manager HPI – Jotun Protective Coatings) spoke on the challenges for Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) in the Oil and Gas industry. The product portfolio was also available at the Jotun stand which focused on the Jotapipe range of pipe products.
