POW! WOW! is hitting its second year in Japan, but this time in the city of Kobe. The action begins on October 17th and runs through October 22nd with murals, skate exhibition showcase, educational talks and more. The roster includes artists such as Persue, Push, Sam Rodriguez, Cinta Vidal, John “Prime” Hina, Kami and Sasu of Hitotzuki, Ryuichi Ogino, Jun Inoue and Kensuke Takahashi.

POW! WOW! Japan is centered in Kobe with murals happening on Rokko Island. The festival will feature murals happening simultaneously inside a school campus, residential area and at a skatepark located within a three block radius. This year the event focuses on education with workshops lead by artists for children at the Canadian Academy from grades one to twelve. Our official paint sponsors Benjamin Moore Japan and Montana Cans, who has supplied all the artists with high quality paint to complete their murals.

The closing event is a collaboration between POW! WOW! JAPAN and the GSKATE PARK which will happen on the 22nd where worldwide active riders lead by Inline skate world champion Takeshi Yasutoko will be having a showcase. We will also host an open competition where there will be one of a kind helmet trophies painted by the artists.
