When it comes to hair, we all have things we secretly love about own locks, and things we really can’t stand. With me, I love how it is naturally straight – I never have to worry about my hair going wavy in the cold weather, and I simply tip my head upside down and blast away with the hairdryer and rarely need to straighten it afterwards. However, in terms of what I hate, it has to be that my hair is so ridiculously fine, I struggle to get any volume in it at all. It grows fairly fast, but the thickness never improves a great deal no matter how much I look after my hair.
Luckily, there are a lot of hair extension solutions out there to fix this little problem I have. My hair is quite long and grows pretty fast, so I don’t really need to wear hair extensions in a bid to make my locks longer, but what I do need them for is to ‘plum it out’ a little bit, so to speak. It’s more the ends of my hair (which at present need a good cut) which really do look the thinnest, so I find that especially for evenings out, I really benefit from clipping in a good set of quality hair extensions.

The other week, I came across hair extension brand Irresistible Me, who specialise in producing and retailing 100% natural remy hair. As the underneath of my hair is my natural colour of light brown, I opted for a set of hair extensions from this brand that would blend in really well and just add a touch of thickness. Because I don’t really need extensions for length, it’s important to me that I colour match really well to the brown shade underneath, as I tend to clip my extensions near to the under layers of my hair, in hope they will bulk out the ends a little bit…
I was interested in Irresistible Me particularly due to all the amazing reviews and video features on YouTube – there are some pretty big beauty guru vloggers trying them out and loving them, which is usually a very positive sign for me! Plus, the gallery and video content they have on their website is brilliant too, really showing off the natural look and quality. Before selecting the right set of hair for me, I made sure these are hair extensions that don’t go all frazzled when a small amount of heat gets applied to them. To me, I think it’s quite important to have the best quality which can be clipped into your hair and then styled up with a curling tongue or hair straightener to add soft waves or a super sleek finish.
Anyway, after watching this informative video on Irresistible Me’s YouTube channel, I chose my colour, weight and length of the remy hair clip in extensions, selecting the Light Brown shade, in 140g and 16 inch length. What I always do first is clip them in, and trim the ends to finish just slightly longer than my hair length, like below…
The clips are securely fitted and clasp into my fine hair well enough to stay put. Girls like me who have ‘fine hair problems’ will possibly know what I mean when I feel like sometimes, the clips struggled to grasp when the hair strands are quite fine. With these, there was no bother – nice and easy to clip in, brush in, trim to length, and whip my hair back and forth!
You can tell the quality of these are real ‘A Class’, and they feel so soft to touch and mega easy to style. Loving these at the moment and can’t wait to pop in a full head for the Christmas party season!
