So I may be across the other side of the world in Sydney, Australia, but it doesn’t mean I can’t get excited about amazing collaborations in the fashion industry back in the UK! Today I heard the news that online retailer Missguided.co.uk have announced a collaboration with pop star and X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger. The partnership sees Nicole work with the Missguided design team to create a range that captures the playful, sexy spirit of the Missguided girl, exactly like Nicole herself!
I have spotted Nicole wearing a few dresses during The X Factor that were from Missguided, and in my opinion I found she made them look really expensive and a lot more ‘luxury’ than they usually look online. In today’s web savvy world, there are so many online fast fashion retailers out there now battling for shoppers on the internet, so with a classy style icon like Nicole wearing the designs and now collaborating, it looks like Missguided are really going to climb back up the ranks.
The 30-piece collection features a mix of directional dresses, jumpsuits, skirts, bodysuits and tops in a fresh colour palette of cobalt blue and monochromatic tones. Nicole Scherzinger comments about her collaboration: “I’m so excited to be collaborating with Missguided! I’ve worn their clothes in the past, as I’m a big fan! This is my first time designing my own collection and I can’t imagine a more perfect fit than Missguided.” The Nicole x Missguided collection will launch exclusively online at missguided.co.uk in March 2014 – and the best news is that they ship to Australia, so I can join in, hooray!
