It started 12 years ago: a slide show narrated by local artists, known and unknown, in fashion or design or photography or painting or video or whatever you can think of, sitting in a room with whoever showed uppreceded by everyone eating the food everyone brought, drinking drinks provided by organizers (the original founder was Casey Kelbaugh). It was such a simple and good idea that it grew into a phenomenon. Slideluck Potshows now happen from São Paulo to Toronto, Paris to San Francisco, and this month the project kicks up again in Seattle, where it all began. (VODA Studios, 1050 W Nickerson St, www.slideluckseattle.org, 7 pm1 am, $10 with potluck dish/$15 without, beer included)
